Was thinking about when I get round to my necron army and what to do with the bases. I was thinking that instead of doing a common terrain across the bases to do something more thematic, if that the right word. I was thinking of making bases with clear resin and putting some gears or maybe circuit board in the resin to just sort of say these guys are robots/android/mechanical or whatever.

Does anyone do anything like this? Does it look good or suck? Any examples people have of non terrain bases would be really appreciated

the planet where they live are tomb worlds and not a world made from circute boards so it would look a little out of place
you could put little pieces of circut board on the bases to show the off the tech.
