For those unfamiliar, Strange Attractor Press do a lot of great books about fringe interests like D&D, psychedelics, experimental music, etc. This should be an absolute treat.

I might get this, but I’d want to read some reviews first.

I have high hopes for it, I’ve 6-7 books from this publisher across a range of topics and each one has been well worth the money.

Thanks - saw it listed on Forbidden Planet and wondered how 'legit' it was.

They’re distributed by MIT Press in the US so fairly legit! I don’t imagine this is officially sanctioned by GW though.

I've just been on the website, it looks great. I've ordered the D&D book, and really looking forward to this. It is kinda strange that warhammer is so huge and apart from fans, there is not much traditionally published writing about it (my impression at least). GW stuff hardly ever gets reviewed in gaming magazines, for instance. Anyway thanks for posting.

Hmm, initially thought this was going to be some awful self-published ebook, but actually sounds like it could be quite interesting, certainly an interesting track record from the publishers.

I've already put in a pre-order to mine. I'm just in the process of publishing my own academic paper on GW, Space Marines and the Horus Heresy, and am really pleased to see more 'academic' stuff out there on GW and the GW universes. Hope it lives up to expectations

The D&D book is great, a nice primer of sword and sorcery. Each story works as an inspiration for a one-shot or small encounter for a DMs too.

Where did you pre-order it? I don’t see it yet on the Strange Attractor site.

@Horla
Appendix N came today, the book itself is very nice, with a fold out dungeon map. Intro is cool as well, can't wait to get stuck in.

You are right, Grimdark is not up on the publishers website, but seems to be available from any number of booksellers online, and it's due for release on May the Fourth: Star Wars Day. I hope that's deliberate

No no, it's clearly because of a more important observance on that date. My birthday.

The supply does not get to make the demands.
