I am just starting to assemble the warriors and it's a nightmare. The heads, and torsos and legs don't easily fit together. (And I'm not taking any creative license; I'm matching the various parts per the pictures.) Given how long GW has put produced skeletons, I'm really shocked they aren't designed better. Skeletons shouldn't be difficult to assemble.

With that said, I haven't assembled anything from GW for years - and the last time as an orc army.

Is my experience typical for GW models today? Or is this an outlier?

Do you mean this kit? https://www.games-workshop.com/de-DE/Deathrattle-Skeleton-Warriors-2017 ? It's over 10 years old and has only been repackaged for AoS with round bases, and will be replaced quite soon with new skellies with a relaunch of the Vampire faction - so it's not really representative for current GW minis.

That said, newer kits might also be quite finicky but as they moved away from poseable kits as these older skellies, it's rather because there's just too many pieces and less because they don't fit :p

Yes, that's the box I'm referring to. The heads and torsos just don't fit well together. I don't mind a little finicky - but plastic models shouldn't significant alteration just to assemble!

Thanks for the reply

Good old GW, simple as that.

If you think 10 are bad, imagine 120 of them, aka only 3 full sized battleline units. i never got to 50 before i gave up, and went trolls instead.
But yea, kit is realy old.

As the proud Death Wight of a sizable Skellly Infantry Army, True Death Rattle of 200+, I find the kit much better than the previous kit and much better than the GG models. Found the GG to be a real pain.

Just have patience and a fast acting glue.

And remember that our lord Nagash plays the long game; Nekhara was not built in a day!

Exactly..... if you thinks it’s bad, now it could be and has been much worse,
