So I just noticed a post I made within the last 15 minutes was edited, with no mod note.

Probably not a good idea to go around changing peoples posts and not logging reasons why, using mod text and notifying them. This kind of gak will lose you members real fast.

The part of your post that was edited was so inappropriate to this forum that I did not see any reason to notify you as to why it had been edited, it should have been blatantly apparent. We do not always leave notes as to why posts have been edited/deleted (except in the moderation log) nor contact the user except when it is deemed really needed.
If you need to refresh yourself of the rules then you can do so here ( https://www.dakkadakka.com/core/forum_rules.jsp) which is linked at the bottom right of every page.

Editing posts should always leave a trail of evidence. Not putting at least mod text such as the red [removed] we sometimes see is highly unprofessional. If I hadn't checked at the time I'd have never known my post was edited.

Also, I'm not sure a joke about a brothel is really all that bad. But it doesn't matter. This was the final straw with regards to the terrible way mods handle posts on this site. I will not be back.
