Hi everyone!

So, I've been really bored in the office lately. Things are slowin the life of McBogus for once, and I'm taking this rare opportunity to goof off at my desk and enjoying it for all that it's worth!

I asked about Titan design sheets yesterday, but got impatient at a truly eye-watering speed, and hopped on Pixlr, armed only with some Warcom pr photos and an empty afternoon schedule.
So, without further ado, I present for your delectation, the 4 schemes I've been chewing over in my head.
Just wanted to see what others thought. Any you like? Any you'd change?

Edit: phone has just removed images from post, please bear with me folks.

Okay, trying this one again. Bear with me folks. Slow day in the office and also slow day in my head I guess.

As like, a tiny prelude, I know it's a bit obnoxious of me, but I like the idea of it not being clear if these are Loyalist or Traitor, just for sneaky shenanigan's sake.

Scheme 1. Snons of Snorus - This is a scheme that I don't even really need to worry about working, because it's literally just the 30k scheme for Sons of Horus. I really like the grey-green, and the black. Would swap out the silver trim for a pale, weathered gold, and I think it'd match the rusty, kinda-Martian basing scheme I wanna go with. Tempted to fully lean into it, and grab a bunch of FW decals, so I can deck him out in eyes and stuff, but I feel like it's a bit on the nose, and will endlessly get the question - why didn't you just go for 30k marines instead?

Scheme 2. The Tower? - So, this one is a bit more out there. I wanna go kinda ham on freehand, and theme this - and the other Titans I might get - around a tarot deck. It'd be very slow, but I think it'd be a unique theme, and it kinda fits the early days of the Imperium vibe, as the god machines would've been tied to ancient, pre-imperial cultures, but also resonates with some of the rites of the imperium, and the whole psykers, warp and space faring stuff. My only concern is that white, red and gold as leading colours is a little bit too "Goodie" looking.

Scheme 3. Infanta Sacratus (does this one already exist? I feel like maybe it does...) - This is a scheme I've been kinda swilling around in my (empty) head for a while, really more for a 40k knight than for 30k, but I like it nonetheless. I want to again, have a crack at freehand here, but instead go for more Catholic devotional imagery, especially those of the Christ Child, but get really 40k and servo-skull-y with it, maybe even incorporating a bit of greenstuff and sculpting/remodelling here and there.

Scheme 4 This is just Scheme 1 again! - So, maybe the least well-defined of all. I kinda want to incorporate red into the first scheme more prominently (can you tell I really like red?) but maybe more for entire arms/limbs than just a shoulder pad, either as a battle honor marking, or as like, evidence that the Titan has been re-fitted recently. I like the idea that Titans are massive and expensive, and sometimes have to be patched up as quickly as possible, even on the fly, for as cheaply as possible. It's essentially the first one, but with extra narrative painted on.

Final Edit - Got everything working! Thanks for reading through all of that garbage! Hope you maybe enjoyed a tiny little piece of it!

Cheers very much to everyone who's dropped by to check this out, very sorry to the mods that this thread is already a trainwreck.

Judging another humans taste is quite pointless i have found out.

Instead i will simply say this; paint what you WANT to paint. When you look at your 4 img, you know there is one that sticks out for you, and that is the one you shall do. Why?, cus it will boost your will to do the best effort you can produce on that mini.
It took me 3 years before i discovered the huge mental difference it is painting something you WANT to paint, vs something you HAVE to paint.

I HATE to paint, i rather pay others to paint or buy premium painted modes at 2x the normal price. I can paint one model and do my very best, but i cannot replicate the result on a 2nd model cus the will is not there to do it. When i have to do it, the overall results gets worse for each copy paste model.
I cannot make a unified maniple in AT, the tought of painting 5 titans identicly makes we wanne throw up, so i dont do it. Lucikly something called Blackshield exists, aka maniples consisting of titans from any legio. I have 6 titans so far, slowly started work on my 7th, none of them are looking alike, and i realy realy like it.

Hi again, FrozenDwarf! Cheers for your help yesterday!
Yeah, I know that, but at the same time, I think there are some wonderfully creative people on here, and getting their reaction and insights to what I've come up with would be interesting for me, even if it isn't for a scheme that I ultimately want to go with. As with anything creative, I think that having outside takes can help you work out kinks in terms of what you really like, what feels good, and what perhaps I'm not so settled on, or a subtle detail that would really improve them.

I'm mostly in the hobby for painting and modelling, and though once in a while I look at the projects I've charged into, and then let languish in their final steps and shudder, for the most part putting paint to plastic is something I really actually enjoy taking my time for.
It's cool that you've got a unique thing going on with your Titans, and I actually really liked checking them out, they are all really nicely unique, and the Blackshield rules are a great idea for them!

I'd lean towards 4, though 3 is nice--black-red-silver is a bit of a standard scheme for warhammer stuff in general, but its standard because it looks good!

Regarding Scheme 1, surely the only answer is that you can't use 30K marines in AT

Using Scheme 1 as a base, and then adding different bits of titans in red as unit markings would be an elegant solution I think.

your idea of following a tarot deck as inspiration could lead to an amazing collection of different colour schemes with an overall theme that ties them together. but then you need to think of a load of individual schemes. I tried this kind of idea on my Necromunda gang, but actually coming up with different colours for a whole load of models is actually quite stressful compared to having one clear scheme with minor variations. I have only completed 4 models and am a bit scared of starting up again!.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Haha, now that you mention that, I realize that this is pretty much just the Flesh Tearers scheme, but big.
I don't mind too much, as I plan to make the scheme play second fiddle to the freehand where I can.

Hahaha, I supposed that's a pretty good way of looking at it. Interesting that the Snons of Snorus scheme, with the red is so popular That's not to say I don't like it. Could easily adapt the Tarot theme for that as well...
Ahh, yeah, different colours can be a slippery one. I've actually mixed another colour scheme into my Necromunda gang recently, too, mostly to make a particular champion stand out (and also play up a bit of historical accuracy, too... ). I even went and researched a bunch of traditional cloth patterns for the theme of my gang, and have a ton of bookmarked designs and stuff like that for them, so I can totally understand the feeling haha!
I'm put off doing it for Titanicus really because I like the idea of a whole, unified legion of Titans. All from the same planet/solar system, In my dream scenario, I'd have a Warbringer, a Reaver, the Acastuses and maybe the lil FW mechanicum knights, too, alongside the Warlord.... In my dreams maybe hahaha.

Cheers for all the input, fellas! Really appreciate it!
