I feel like Sisters of Silence are a bit expensive compared to other comparable units in 40k and could use a bit more synergy with Custodes overall. Here's some updated rules and changes for them I think would make them better at being anti-psyker and push them even more into viability beyond just being action doers and objective squatting.

- The ability to upgrade any Sisters infantry units into Oblivion Knights, much like upgrading Kabalite Warriors to Trueborn, Wyches to Bloodbrides, etc. +2 pts per model. They gain BS/WS 2+, Voidsheen Cloaks (grants a 5++), the Oblivion Knight ability (+6" to Psychic Abomination aura) and the Oblivion Knight keyword.
- All Sisters infantry units gain Core and gain the Null Presence ability (-1 to all hit rolls).
- Null Maidens rule: Only one Null Maiden Rhino can be taken per Sisters of Silence Infantry unit (as it stands I'm pretty sure you can just take Rhinos without taking any Sisters which is dumb to me)
- Executioner Greatblades go to flat 2 damage. Vigilators go to 3 attacks each with the Sister Superior going to 4 attacks.
- Psyk-out Grenades change so that each successful hit deals 1 MW to Psykers and Daemons, not just on a hit roll of 6+. For something that's only d3 shots and can only be used once per unit within 6" this seems more than fair to make them actually useful.

Knight-Centura (80 pts)
Move 7" BS/WS 2+ S3 T3 5W 5A L10 2+ save
Weapons:
- Oblivion Greatblade, Melee S2x AP -3 D2
- Condemnor Bolt Pistol, 12" Pistol 1 S4 AP0 D1 - When resolving an attack made with this weapon against a Psyker unit, this weapon has a Damage characteristic of D3 for that attack.
- Psyk-out Grenades, 6" Grenade D3 S2 AP0 D1 - Blast. When resolving an attack made with this weapon against a Psyker or Daemon unit, a successful hit roll inflicts a mortal wound on the target and the attack sequence ends.
Abilities:
- Psychic Abomination, Witch Hunters, Prosecution Protocols
- Knight Centura: Reroll hit rolls of 1 for Sister of Silence Core units. Additionally, this unit cannot be your Warlord and cannot have a Warlord trait. (Can't see a Sisters HQ leading a Custodes army personally, hence the WL restriction)
- Oblivion Knight: Add 6" to the range of the Psychic Abomination ability
- Null Presence: Subtract 1 from the hit roll of attacks that target this unit
- Enhanced Voidsheen Cloak: This model has a 4+ invulnerable save

Stratagems (Only going over new stratagems and modifications to existing ones):
- Ex Oblivio (1 CP): Use this stratagem at the start of your opponent's Psychic phase. Select an Oblivion Knight unit. Until the end of the phase, if an enemy Psyker unit within 24" of that Oblivion Knight unit rolls any doubles in their Psychic Test, they immediately suffer Perils of the Warp.
- Creeping Dread (2 CP) Use this stratagem at the end of your Movement phase. Select a Sisters of Silence Infantry unit. Until the start of your next movement phase, subtract 1 from the Leadership of any enemy units within 6" of that Sisters of Silence unit. In addition, that enemy unit cannot use the Objective Secured ability or any similar abilities that allow them to control an objective marker regardless of the number of enemy models within range of an objective marker while within 6" of that Sisters of Silence unit. (Since they already have -1 to hit, I changed this stratagem to negate ob sec and debuff leadership instead)
- Talons (1 CP): Use this stratagem in either the Shooting or Fight phase. Select a Sisters of Silence Infantry unit and a Custodes Infantry or Biker unit within 6". Until the end of the phase, both units can reroll hit rolls and wound rolls of 1.
- Decapitating Strikes (1 CP): Use this stratagem in the Fight phase, when a Vigilator or Knight-Centura unit from your army is chosen to fight with. Until the end of that phase, when resolving an attack made with a melee weapon by a model in that unit, add 1 to the wound roll.
- Empyric Severance (1 CP): Use this stratagem in your opponent’s Psychic phase, when an enemy Psyker manifests a psychic power within 18" of a Sisters of Silence Infantry unit from your army (or within 24" if that unit has the Oblivion Knight keyword) after any Deny the Witch attempt. Roll one D6; on a 3+ that psychic power is resisted and its effects are negated.
- Desperation's Price (1 CP): Use this stratagem in your opponent’s Psychic phase, when an enemy Psyker unit within 18" of a Sisters of Silence Infantry unit from your army (or within 24" if that unit has the Oblivion Knight keyword) suffers Perils of the Warp. That Psyker suffers an additional D3 mortal wounds. (Combos very well with Ex Oblivio)
- Immaterial Dissonance (1 CP): Use this stratagem in your Shooting phase or your opponent’s Charge phase, after resolving an attack made with a psyk-out grenade by a Sisters of Silence model from your army against a Psyker or Daemon unit that scored a hit. Each successful hit deals 2 mortal wounds instead of 1 mortal wound.

So am I wrong or is there no "Sister Superior" in 9th? I bought a squad of bolter sisters and it's sitting on my shelf of grey shame, but there didn't appear to be any type of Sgt sister spru model, just 5 of the same model? Id there just a better sister of the 5 that has better stats, but is other wise indistinguishable? Because that would be a welcome change.

Then, give them the ability to extend their auras beyond 18 inches with a strat. 3CP make it the entire table for one turn.

The Sister Superior is their sergeant equivalent, every squad of them has one. They're hard to distinguish visually from the other sisters but they do exist at least on the datasheet. Also in my proposal, I do give them the ability to extend their Psychic Abomination aura, you just have to upgrade them to Oblivion Knights and the Oblivion Knight ability extends it by 6". A 24" range is pretty huge.
