Hi Dakka!

My name is Ben, I've been a luker on and off here for many years. Last year my best mate getting back in to WW1 Flames of War brought me back to the hobby more generally before Indomitus brought me back to 'The Hobby'™ in particular.

I got in to wargaming in ealry 1996 when one of my friends brought WD 193 to school in the new year after the Christmas holidays. I was hooked for a long time.

Over the years I've played 40k, WHFB, old Necromunda, Epic 40k, BFG, Flames of War, Warmachine, Infinity, Star Wars Armada and Dystopian Wars. I left the hobby in 2011 when GW introduced the regional trading restrictions, and the soaring prices in Australia made GW far to expensive to justify. Just before the restrictions I made an order for around 300 kangaroo buck of stuff from Maelstrom Games in the UK, the exact same kits currently retail from GW Oz for over 700 kangaroo bucks. That said I never got around to assembling any of that order.

I decided it was finally time to make an account and being documenting my progress through my pile of shame.

Howdy and welcome!

I relate a lot to your intro! I always lurked in the hobby and online after dropping out of the hobby years ago.
Recently, I decided to get my old Imperial Guard project on its feet again and hopefully finish it.

Do document your progress I'm sure many people will enjoy seeing your updates!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
