Thinking of fielding 3 separate Armigers in an astra-militarum list, wondering if I can give a regiment bonus to the armigers in this way. The idea being they are cheap enough to use super-heavy detachment if they are fielded solo times three.

Regiment bonus, as-in, give your Armigers your IG traits?
No.

Regiment bonus, as-in, give them a Knight Household and gain the benefits from that?
Yes.

Ya I know they cant take the imperial guard trait, I was just wondering if the knights would need to be battleforged to get a household benefit

Unless I am missing something, a detachment with three armigers is still battleforged and can benefit from househould traditions. There is some old wording in the Imperial Knights codex that denied your 'command benefit' if you only had armigers but that is no longer relevant in 9th edition.

Your Entire Army is in a Binary state of Battle-forged, or not. As long as your Army is Battle-forged; your armigers get household traditions.

The Command Benefit bit you you are referring to is from the Knight Lance rule; and is not irrelevant in 9th, it is changed wholly via FAQ.

Knight Lance is the only rule that requires 3 Larger Knights; and even that is just for the additional Command points. You were always able to make an Armiger a Character via Knight Lance, you just wouldn't gain CPs without 3 Questor and/or Dominus Knights in the detachment. Now you get a refund on the super-heavy detachment if your warlord is in that detachment(amount based on whether the warlord is Titanic or not).

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Ah, OK. They totally changed that part. Fair enough.

To be super clear, if your army is battle-forged and your Armigers are in a Super-Heavy Detachment, they they are eligible to receive a Household Tradition and Questor Allegiance Oath should they have the proper keywords to qualify (all of the same household and all of the same allegiance).
