I just saw this on my feed and thought "That's as pretty good idea."
https://news.samsung.com/global/samsung-presents-first-samsung-safety-truck-prototype
Basically a huge truck with a videoscreen on the back and cameras on the front that let you see in front of the truck if you're stuck behind it so you know when it's safe to pass.
I'm sure there are a few issues to work out like screen protection and durability, plus ramping up the alternator to power the system, and in some daylight conditions the screen may not be visible. Plus some countries and states likely have laqws against vehicles displaying videoscreens, but in cases when there's any common sense i'm sure the laws can be updated.
I bet this will quickly catch on in europe and asia, I'd like to see it in america but i'm sure it will face some real problems here, like people who refuse to update laws, hordes of drooling lawyers just aching to be the first to file a massive lawsuit over it for reasons and of course just plain old donkey caves who will try to break the screens just because they think ruining things is funny.
Nonetheless i thought this was a pretty good idea and I like to see good ideas come into being and spread, given how often the opposite happens.
So hey, you see a good idea, share it!
