Hi Members,
I'm getting back into the hobby after years away and one army I enjoyed was my Tomb Kings. (Ditto for my Brets)
Games Workshop doesn't have a Battletome for them or even models for sale!! Can't figure out why.

Anyway I found an (unofficial) Tomb Kings: Warscroll Compendium that's 45 pages long. Before I print it out:

1. Is this a legal usable doc that I can build an army list from? Bring to a game and use for reference?

2, Why doesn't GWS continue to make TK models. They must still have the plastic and lead molds somewhere.

3. Also my other army I'm reviving is Ogors and bought their battletome. But at the GWS site so many of their main units and unavailable. Butchers, hunters, gorgers, all 6 of the maneaters and what I'm really looking for is stonehorns and thundertusks. None of these have been available since I started looking 6+ months ago. Can't figure out why. Any clue why?

Be safe and well friends,
Sandy Death

1 - If it's this one, it's a Legends list so no longer updated and might not be tournament legal (check with your TO).
2 - Only GW know for sure, and they're not saying. Two popular theories are that they weren't selling well enough for GW to bother with, or they didn't contain enough unique, copyrightable entries for GW to protect their IP.
3 - There's a global pandemic going on, which is affecting shipping and production worldwide. GW are also having warehouse issues that have slowed things down even more.

I do not think they are legacy. They stil have points in the latest points update. (It is always the same though.)

From the Age of Sigmar Generals' Handbook 2020 Designers' Commentary

Q: When choosing an army for a Pitched Battle, what publications can I use without my opponent’s permission?

A: You can use the warscrolls for units with a Pitched Battle profile listed in the General’s Handbook 2020 (excluding those listed in the Legends Pitched Battle Profiles section) and the warscrolls for units with a Pitched Battle profile in a publication that has a release date of August 2020 or later.

In addition, when choosing your army, you can use rules from any of the following publications and any that have a release date of August 2020 or later

• Battletome: Beasts of Chaos
• Battletome: Blades of Khorne
• Battletome: Cities of Sigmar
• Battletome: Daughters of Khaine
• Battletome: Disciples of Tzeentch
• Battletome: Flesh-eater Courts
• Battletome: Fyreslayers
• Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz
• Battletome: Hedonites of Slaanesh
• Battletome: Idoneth Deepkin
• Battletome: Kharadron Overlords
• Battletome: Legions of Nagash
• Battletome: Lumineth Realm-lords
• Battletome: Maggotkin of Nurgle
• Battletome: Nighthaunt
• Battletome: Ogor Mawtribes
• Battletome: Orruk Warclans
• Battletome: Ossiarch Bonereapers
• Battletome: Seraphon
• Battletome: Skaven
• Battletome: Slaves to Darkness
• Battletome: Stormcast Eternals
• Battletome: Sylvaneth
• Warhammer Age of Sigmar Core Book
• Soul Wars: Forbidden Power
• Wrath of the Everchosen
• General’s Handbook 2020
• Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Malign Sorcery (endless spell warscrolls only)
• Compendium: Monstrous Arcanum (excluding Legends Pitched Battle profiles)
• Compendium: Legion of Azgorh
• Tome Celestial: The Hammerhands – White Dwarf February 2019
• Tome Celestial: Steel Souls – White Dwarf April 2019
• Tome Celestial: The Vostarg Lodge – White Dwarf June 2019
• Tome Celestial: The Sempiternals – White Dwarf August 2019
• Tome Celestial: The Host of Syll’Esske – White Dwarf October 2019
• Tome Celestial: The Emerald Host – White Dwarf December 2019
• Tome Celestial: Ironsunz – White Dwarf February 2020
• Tome Celestial: Vokmortian’s Tithe Legion – White Dwarf April 202

Since the Tomb Kings are all listed as a part of the 'Legends Pitched Battle Profiles', they are a legacy army as per the FAQ.

cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

If you found something that's unofficial, why would you even ask the question?

Putting Legends and esoteric fanmade compendiums aside, it's my opinion that your best bet to continue playing your Tomb Kings models, and to enjoy playing them, would be to use them as Ossiarch Bonereapers.

Not everything that a direct unit to unit translation yet, but the core of OBR plays similarly to Tomb Kings from what I can gather.

You'll be missing some models, and may need to do more clever proxies for the assorted Constructs and Chariots, and OBR should be getting an archer unit soon.

I suggest looking in to playing them as OBR, because Legend Factions tend to be barebones and unloved, leading to some trashy rules and point values that swiftly fall behind the curve.
