Admech is on it's way and it already looks to be the restrained structure we've seen aside from DE. Examples below. Skitarii also seems to lose Canticles except Mars, but Doctrina Imperatives is back? Kataphrons seem like they won't be CORE, but there will be some CORE VEHICLES ( Chickens? ).

So, what are the bets on where they will land overall?

I mean, if you want to drive past GW giving All Is Dust to Lucius, Stygies getting their forward deploy shenanigans back, Ryza becoming Blood Angels sure go ahead and paint the army as a "boring and restrained" codex. There's an immense number of moving parts we know absolutely nothing about that have more than enough opportunity to wildly swing their viability.

Ryza is also Dark angels, they get weapons of the dark ages lol.

Metallica seems interesting to me, the game is won in the movement phase and just getting flat movement bonuses (and the ability to slow your opponent down) seems good.

Definitely not boring. Restrained in many aspects, yes. The pieces aren't all there hence the open ended question for discussion and the title.

There have already been other nerfs, but strong gun changes. All is Dust for vehicles is nice. Vehicles won't really care for it so it will be T3 stuff benefitting most. Electropriests won't care. Blood Angels is nice, but that one is really subject to other changes. Forward deploy isn't the panacea it was in 8th.

Plasma Specialists is nerfed. It used to be +1 to wound and +1D for 1CP. Now it is only +1D for 2CP.

Metalica does open up some options for different weapon loadouts.

Ive seen a couple posts saying things like "it looks like kataphrons wont be core" but I didnt see anything to that effect on the Warhammer Community article. Am I missing something? or is this just an internet rumor?

One of the Warlord Traits or Strats says "CORE units or Kataphrons". That implies the latter isn't the former.

Thanks! I've read everything over at least twice trying to find that, and I missed it each time.
