Hi,
I haven't played since 40k 5th ed about a decade ago.

I'm looking to get into AoS, I have a hypothetical skaven 2k list that I want to know if there's glaring errors in. I of course won't be buying it all at once, just want to know if there's something that I clearly forgot to pay points for or grab.

----------------
Grey Seer on screaming bell
Arch-Warlock
Warlock Bombadier

40 clanrats
40 clanrats
20 clanrats
3 stormfiends (doomflayer fists, ratling cannons, warpfire throwers)
20 skryre acolytes
2 x warpfire thrower (or ratling guns? would save 20 points)

2x warp lightning cannon

exactly 2000 points

-----------
I looked at the skryre battle line thingy and it seems really tough to squeeze the 2 sub-battle lines into a list, like there'd be no space even for clanrats, and it seems like skaven needs that ablative shielding. Warpcog Convention seems like it'd be really glass cannon-y, relying on multiple stormfiend squads to take damage, and they seem pricy to just be front line tanks.

Too many clanrats? Anything missing? Spells that are a must, or equipment/artifacts that would massively change the tide of things? Should I be considering the grinderfists or weapon teams for deep strike?

Whatever force you play, Skaven or otherwise, you should always consider units like this.

Sorry that this isn't an answer to your question, I just felt that I'm in the same boat as you with this one and rather than make another thread and ask a question along the same line, might as well seek further information in this thread.

I may have bought a few box sets already (and won a few auctions), so here is what I have. Any suggestions on what to build from the sets, and what I'm obviously missing.

Assembled
20 clanrats (assembled with blade and shield)
20 plague monks
1 bombadier
3 stormfiends (doomflayer fists, ratling cannons, warpfire throwers)
1 warp lightning cannon
**NEW** 3x Gnawholes

Unassembled
Skaven Pestilens (Start collecting)
- 20 plague monks
- 1 Plague Furnace
- 1 Plagueclaw
Plague Furnace / Screaming Bell box
Clawlord
Verminlord box
20 clanrats

Looking at buying
Warpfire Thrower (2-3 if it ever comes back into stock here)
Another "Broken Realms: Rattachak - Rattachak's Doom-coven" box for 3 more stormfiends and another war lightning cannon (if I don't just cannon the plague claw from the start collecting boxset)

Only had a few games of AoS 2.0, trying to wipe what little I remember to start playing 3.0 fresh, so any pointers are more than welcome at this point.

Edit: didn't see the age of that post either.. sorry about the necropost.
