Hey guys.

A buddy of mine just commissioned me to paint 70 odd skorne models. I'm looking to assembly line build these guys. I just did a unit of praetorian swordsmen and the build was rather tedious.

Any tips for building skorne infantry?

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

I never did Praetorians. Did the Shield Cataphracts, the Venator Reivers, and the Paingiver Bloodrunners.

The Cataphracts gave me problems due to missing a shield and finagling their shoulder pads.

The Bloodrunners only gave a problem because the leader is one-footed and I snipped off the sprue at the bottom. I fixed that by using a little box bit I had left over from another kit to support his lifted leg.

Aside from that, I had less complaints than I did with the Nyss Hunters.

Was there anything specific which gave you an issue?

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

1. Two handed weapons with the off-side arm as a separate piece are always fiddly

2. I also have some infantry with spears and shields to do. How difficult were the shoulders?

Ah, the Keltari. That's a rough set up even with other armies. I had to deal with it on the Nyss Hunters and the Necron Warriors. I just toughed them out in both cases, but someone recommended the "helping hands" with alligator clips used for electronic work to keep the pieces together while the glue dries.

Mostly just sitting the shoulder pads right so it looked right. The models on the bottom could be a little wavy so fitting them right sometimes was a challenge. But that was on the Cataphract side, not the Praetorian.
