Each time an attack is made with this weapon, that attack automatically hits the target.

  • Explodes: When this transport is destroyed, roll one D6 before any embarked models disembark and before removing it from play. On a 6 it explodes, and each unit within 6" suffers D6 mortal wounds.
  • Flare Shield: This model has a 5+ invulnerable save against ranged attacks. In addition, each time a ranged attack is made against this model, if the attacker is more than 12" away, reduce the Strength characteristic of that attack by 1, to a minimum of 1.
  • Galvanic Traction Drive: This model can ignore any or all modifiers to its Move characteristic, Advance rolls and charge rolls (not including changes to its profile determined by its remaining wounds). This model does not suffer the penalty to hit rolls incurred for firing Assault weapons in the same turn that it Advanced.
  • Hermetic Canopy (Aura): While a friendly <FORGE WORLD> unit is within 3" of this model, that unit has the Flare Shield ability if it disembarked from this model in your previous Movement phase.

    This model has a transport capacity of 21 <FORGE WORLD> INFANTRY or BIKER models. Each JUMP PACK or MYRMIDON model takes up the space of 2 models, and each BIKER model takes up the space of 3 models.

    Adeptus Mechanicus - Wargear Stratagem
    The Triaros chassis incorporates disruption field technology into its massive spinal ram, providing a destructive outlet for the roiling anbaric energies of the vehicle's mighty reactor-heart.
    Use this Stratagem in the Charge phase, when an ADEPTUS MECHANICUS SHOCK RAM unit from your army finishes a charge move. Select one enemy unit within Engagement Range of that SHOCK RAM unit:
  • Until the end of the turn, each time a model in the selected unit makes an attack, subtract 1 from that attack's hit roll.
  • If the selected enemy unit is a VEHICLE or MONSTER unit, roll one D6: on a 2+, that unit suffers D3 mortal wounds.
  • If the selected enemy unit is not a VEHICLE or MONSTER unit, roll one D6 for each model in that enemy unit that is within Engagement Range of the SHOCK RAM unit. For each dice result that equals or exceeds that enemy unit’s Toughness characteristic, it suffers 1 mortal wound.

    Mechanically, this is basically a Land Raider Crusader with considerably worse guns and slightly larger transport capacity. It can transport up to 21 Skitarii, 10 Pteraxii/Thallaxii, or 7 Kataphrons. It's also less durable than a LRC against melee, but tougher against most ranged attacks. It also comes with a special aura to give it something extra, once the units are deposited; namely, the round you disembark a unit, it can share the Triaros' anti-ranged invulnerable-save/-1 Strength ability if it's still hugging the vehicle. Niche, but potentially useful.

    Compared to the Dunerider, it costs 2.5x as much and eats a Heavy Support slot, but it's more than twice as durable and carries twice as many models, with slightly better guns, its aura, and a few melee tricks.
