Hi all.

I have started coming across a problem with my Mono and wondered if any of you lovely people here had any good ideas before I brave the wider internet.

It doesn’t seem to be recording the z home properly. When I hit print, the bed goes down into the vat fine, but then seems to bottom out and makes a godawful grinding noise. I have zeroed the z axis several times, using both the bit of paper and with the vat in place so actually setting z against the proper FEP thickness.

I have even tried homing, tightening the bed in place and then Lifting it a bit before setting zero.

Every time it grinds. After grinding for a bit it then starts to print, but it doesn’t sound healthy and I’d rather not burn the motor or whatever gears are in there.

Any ideas?

Ah-ha… I got impatient and went looking anyway. Looks like it’s because I added the Sovol flexible print bed. Need to add a 2.6mm spacer to something to fool a sensor… that’s something that wasn’t clear when I bought the plates…

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
