Starting a thread to keep everything all in one place. I will probably still add stuff to the toy thread if/when I convert more toys though.
I will probably update this sporadically as I tend to go weeks without painting anything and then paint 1-2k points of stuff in one sitting on a whim. Inspiration/motivation is fickle.
Fair warning: I am chronically lazy on mold line, drilling barrels, and basing.
My most recent project was finally getting around to painting the indomitus marines. My younger brother gave me his on the condition we merged them into one big black templar army to share.
I more or less speed painted all of them in one day as I was sick of the grey plastic.
Spoiler:
("volleygun plasma melta prime" are from marking out weapon distribution on some (ok 200) eisenkern stormtroopers that I have been building on an off for a few months now.)
Lieutenant and Captain
I tried to limit gold to characters and squad leaders to make them more obvious in the sea of MK X armor. I also added some extra bits to the captain's backpack to differentiate him from the other indomitus captain I demoted to bladeguard sergeant.
Apothecary and Chaplain
apothecary was made from a bunch of random bits and some 3d-printed legs.
Judiciars
Bladeguard Ancients
Assault Intercessor Squad I
Assault Intercessor Squad II
Assault Intercessor Squad III
Aggressors
Bladeguard Veterans
Converted the extra lieutenant, captain, and chaplain into extra members for a total of 9 of these guys.
Outriders
Eradicators
And back in April I painted up these guys:
Spoiler:
Cogged up Kelermorph
Counts as Mark of the Clawed Omnissiah Abominant. Because if you're going to have cyborgised hybrids, why not go over the top and then some.
Jackal Alphus
Neophytes
Aberrants
Jackals

But also like... that must be some speed painting record, they look amazing!
I rather like him too.
The templars were actually rather easy to paint. Most of it was just airbrushing the black and drybrushing white over it. Most of the work was freehanding all the random heraldry.
I've just finished some more cogstealers. The Clawed Omnissiah (patriarch), a Primus, a Magus, 3x5 acolyte squads, 3 ridgerunners, and a sentinel :
The infantry are all a mix of GSC, corpsegrinder cult, and ad-mech bits and spare eisenkern stormtrooper legs
was kind of lazy on the familiars. I will probably work on them more in a year or two.
I cut the lower jaw off and glued on feeder tendrils, I also switched the lower arms for hydraulic claws and added some extra armor.
Used a spare ruststalker alpha as the basis of the magus. Might demote them to cult iconbearer as I'm not sure if they look psykery enough to pass for a magus.
acolyte squad I
acolyte squad II
acolyte squad III
3d printed outrunners ridgerunners
3d printed Sentinel
Group shot of the whole cult
Spoiler:
I should be able to make a 1k points list out of this, so I am going to call these guys done for now. I might work on my dark eldar, ad-mech or sw legion rebels next.
EDIT:
Finished my second void raven.

I made a Zer0 inspired assassin that I think I might proxy as a sanctus, Eversor, archon, or autarch for giggles.
EDIT: I liked how they turned out, so I made another one which I gave a sniper rifle:
I also printed off some backfield babysitters for the black templars
and then there is this guy
I tried painting him with just Abaddon black, white scar, and some red for the eyes. I think I will go back and do the chains with silver though.

Mandalorian resistance
Painted up one of the generic squads like the old cuy'val dar (Kal Skirata, Walon Vau ect) because why not. Clan wren was like painting sabine 7 more times but yellow on dark grey. *shutter*
Some commando droids:
Some saber tanks:
And the bunker console. Painted like it's running DOOM for my own amusement:
The lynx I ordered a the start of the month showed up today. I’ve been meaning to get one for years, so I kind of excitedly rushed through getting it built and mostly painted:
I also had a leman Russ print fail a few days back so I made my brother a kill tank with the half finished parts and a ton of random bitz:
Painted up my guard crusade force. Models are Wargames Atlantic Eisenkern stormtroopers with 3d printed plasma/melta guns and chainswords from my bits box.
The color scheme I straight up stole from mass effect, but I think it looks cool.
My on and off Warlord titan 3d print is starting to come together. It was just a pile of parts last week, but now I've built and painted all the parts I have printed and I am feeling motivated to finish it again.
I also painted up the dark uprising zone mortalis stuff that has been sitting unpainted for months now.
And painted a chaos knight household and a 40k themed benchy:

Some serious volume of stuff here! A cool grimdark vibe you’ve got going too. The printed warlord is great, but the bench grot tank is what it’s all about!

Thanks! The grot tank is definitely getting some squad-mates after the warlord is done.
Speaking of the warlord:
Still needs a kneepad, the pelvis armor plate, one toe (printed all 8 but one failed :( ), the back leg armor, the Ardex-defensor lascannons, and the primary weapons... ok so a lot still, but it looks like a warlord titan for the most part.
