For a Littany, try Canticle of Hate. A buddy uses the extra consolidate 3" to good use to cover ground, honk up enemy units, etc.

You might add the apothecary. He is popular in lists, as he can regrow a whole dude after its dead as well as heal.
What kinda termies? P-fist and Storm Bolter? If yes, them leave them out as the Storm Shield variety is the current Bees' Knees.

One thing that evolved into game play is to just have a few Storm Shields instead of the whole crew. It saves points and the mechanism of 'tanking' wounds still works, especially how nice the Storm Shield's mechanics work. So, maybe slide off at least half the S.S. on yer boys, and I'd throw in 4 to 5 lightning clawed dudes. This will allow you to Combat Squad (split a full 10 crew into two 5s, a Space Marine feature for a few editions) and be able to apply more anti-infantry here and P-Fist smackage there.

Unless, of course, they're already glued in place.

There are loadouts on these guys that I'm out of touch with. Like a Chaplain dread here, or Librarian dread there. They're not as bad ass as they were pre-covid, but another SM player might know a niche Dread type that I am ignorant about.

These are sad pandas simply saying, "Lookit me! I give up points" . My vindicator hasn't seen action since 6th edition. :(

Dev Squads aren't seen anymore neither, but if you're going to field them, then I would add the ablative bodies. Go full 10 dudes. And, the MLs are better for the choice of anti-I or anti-Armor.

Other advice:
a. While getting slapped around and hung by your underpants on a locker door, play anyway, to get a sense of the changed game mechanics & rules. And then one or two boxes at a time, get some primaris bodies. Eliminators, Eradicators and whatever else the Internet is frothing at the mouth as Over-Powered.
b. Hunt ebay for another rhino for your tacticals. I dunno what "Ardor and Ignis" mean, unless they're simply names.

9e is as good edition as ever; I have played consistently since 4e.

One of it's detractions are sometimes needing two or three books of rules to play the codex/army rules you like. Also, it will be tough to know all the armies. Back in 4e and 5e, I used to know all the rules for all the armies ... but with new armies added to the game, Ad Mech, Knights, GeneStealer Cult & a couple more, plus each army is bigger and more complicated. And GW is fond of issuing 'supplimental' rules ... You get used to asking yer opponent what's going on for that game.

Terrain rules are the most defined, best ever. A lot of 8e's reroll, game-slowing mechanics went away, though, GW still allows 'codex creep', the increasing power of each new book to top the one that just got released. 8e got nuts with it.

The volume of players and tourneys is also bigger than ever, so you can go to a few tourneys a month, if yer in populated areas.

Welcome back.

Welcome back marine,
Don’t count us tacticals out yet, we can take a beating as good as any primaris and don’t get all OCD about mixed weapon types

There is something very satisfying about a squad of storm shielded vanguard witg lightning claws and jump packs. Going witg a chaplain makes them a mobilr mini death star for less points than a less mobile term assault squad.
