Hey guys.

So say you show up at a tournement, you have to show an army rooster that can be looked up. I think at least. But since you usually fight several matches, ive been told there are things you are allowed to change in your army, such as warlord traits and psychic powers.

But what exactly are you allowed to change between battles? And what does NOT necessarily have to be shown on my army rooster before i show my army to my enemy? Like, stratagems being used before the battle, does that actually have to be thrown down on my unit rooster that i show my opponent? What if i used skarboys, or made a greater daemon of khorne an exalted dude.

Hope, is the first step on the road to disappointment.

That's up to the tournament organizer.

Then what about casual battles? Would you normally show up with specific psychic powers you would use, or would you pick those psychic powers based on the terrain setup and your enemys faction that he plays? and warlord traits?

Hope, is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Usually, whatever says "Before the battle" must be written on the list.

Tournaments go into that much effort to control lists? Do you really have to decide on psychic powers/Warlord traits/pre-battle strats and include them in the list?

I've never played in a tournament that allowed you to make any alterations to your list between rounds. Warlord traits and psychic powers must be recorded on your army roster.

You have to do that if you're playing Matched Play - it's not a tournament rule, it's one of the rules for creating a Battle-Forged Army Roster.

If you go by what rulebook says: everything.

8e stratagems were decided before game and gave some ability to configuration changes. 9e made it fixed. Which basically invalidated some relics etc.

alright thanks.

I was just told that at least your warlord traits and psychic powers could be changed between battles.

But hol' up. you are meant to say whats in deepstrike before you deploy, but many factions have stratagems that allows you to deepstrike.

Surely because its a pre game stratagem you dont have to let your opponent know you've used denizens of the warp or tellyporta before we've even reached the deployment? you have to show skarboys, which is a stratagem, but not tellyporta?

Denizens of the Warp and Tellyporta are used during deployment. Skarboyz is used when you construct your army roster.

No. Difference is one is done before battle, one on deployment.

Chapter approved has exact steps and orders getting to game.
