So the new version of Necromunda has most of the vital survival functions of the hives outsources from Admech into the guilds. Corpse grinders, water security, power and light. I think the outer armoured shell gets one too.

No one seems to care about the fabric of the poor old hives though. It’s all about hive quakes and lost and abandoned domes. How does the 100km monstrosity even say up, is what I want to know!

Other than plascrete domes and space magic, that is.

I hope the next book is the Book of the Revered Cross Section and the guild is armed with heavy lift capability, hi-vis shielding and lots of survey chains and a power theodolite!

My brain gave me this thought and I felt I had to share

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I would really like a gang / guild wielding repurposed construction gear! There could also be so many conversion options for imperial guard engineers, Genestealer cults etc.

i think the offical answer is that the lower levels of the hive have basically already collasped into a more or less solid mass of rubble that acts as a foundation, which coupled with the imperials tendency for very rugged, solid (ie overbuilt) architecture, gives a good base for future expansion. That, and strategic use of anti-grav might allow for floating buttresses to take some of the load.

that siad, yhea, constuction themed stuff would be the bomb. power loader suits, etc.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

Like Slave Ogryns? Most of their wargear is construction/mining equipment as improvised weapons. You could just go with Venators and selectively arm them with Storm-welders, rock saws, hazard suits, and whatever else you feel like.
