Subject: Which of these could be seen as a "greater daemon" of the Emperor?

Living Saints like Celestine and Sanguinor, or people like Ephrael Stern who came back from the dead, accomplished extraordinary feats and seemed to possess high level psychic power, but in reality all was owing to their "strong faith" in the Emperor.

The Angel, a mysterious entity created by the big E himself during the ancient times of Terra, likely purposed to combat chaos and capable of leveling cities. However, he went insane and was sealed away. The Angel is basically a deus ex machina for the Inquisition now, though I doubt they have the guts to use such a thing.

That's a bit tricky, because the SoB, Saints, Living Saints seem to be tapping into the human power of belief--basically a nascent Waaagh field that is used instead of making random heaps of junk as functional weapons tells the universe that these individuals can perform great and inspiring acts and whose very presence can uplift their allies on a very fundamental level.
On the other hand, daemons by their very nature are creatures of the warp, and the above examples all started as living creatures, so even if they were similar, they would be more analogous to daemon princes than greater daemons.
Also daemons have a limited time on this plane outside of warp shenanigans and generally need to be tethered to something or someone and even then probably won't be able to maintain their corporeal form.
So to answer your question, they don't appear to have the characteristics of daemons. That's not to say that they still couldn't be warp entities--enslavers, for example, don't seem to follow any of the rules that daemons do. They could just be 'something different'. With that said, I'm guessing Living Saints would be the closest thing, since some do seem able to possess and override the personalities of compatible hosts.

Legion of the Damned are something like Imperial Daemons, while Celestine and Sanguinor are like Herolds, imho.

How about the Angel? I only read the inquisitor short where it appeared, is it more like a proto-type primarch (though I haven’t seen any primarch displaying such level of power, at least before some got turned into daemon princes) or a straight up daemon?

I know absolutely zero about the Angel so don't feel comfortable commenting on it. However, daemons are shards of their god, so if the Angel is old enough to be a proto primarch, it most likely predates the time the emps was widely worshipped so wouldn't really be something similar.
Also, someone doesn't need to be a warp entity, make a deal with a warp entity, or be possessed to be powerful. Apex level psykers are among the most powerful things in the setting and start out completely human. And they can wipe out planets. Perhaps this Angel is something similar.

These are demon princes, not greater demons. Completely different thing.

That's just primarch version alpha. No different than mix of Angron and Magnus.
The closest thing to what you ask would probably be a demon like manifestation of Sanguinius or Ferrus post-death (the latter shown up LotD style during fight in webway in Master of Mankind).

That could be the Sanguinor, they've been very vague on who/what he is.

The Sanguinius isn’t Sanguinius though, I thought there is already a clear plot line clarifying this.

Sanguinius and the Sanguinor are indeed two separate beings. Dante witnesses them both when he goes into his mini coma at the end of Devastation of Baal. The Sanguinor might have a fraction of Sanguinius' power but it is believed they are a Sanguinary Guard from the Heresy who sacrificed themselves to close a Warp Portal that would allow the Blood Angels to reach Terra, and has basically become a "Daemon" of the Blood Angels.

What's the source on this Angel thing?

I think Stern doesn't get her powers from faith, despite what that Pariah Nexus hackery said.

According to Lexicanum a single Inquisitor supplement.

so referanced once in 2003 and never since then it's proably something basicly gone, especially as given how much data we've gotten on the primarch project and the development of space marines I honestly don't think it really fits in with the current lore

i wanted The Sanguinor to get a massive 'glow up' like Belakor, he's so weak on the tabletop compared to how he's described in lore. It would also allow him to stand as our 'primarch' in lieu of actually having one, GW definitely seems to be giving every faction a supreme commander.
Although perhaps the more recent BA books have reduced him significantly in line with his model.
