Trying to map out what releases remain through the year's end based on what we know so far. Here's what I can recollect, with some dates being pure speculation.

August

+ Sisters of Battle finale
+ KillTeam starter
+ Thousand Sons/GK dual box
+ Stormcast/Orruk Battletomes

September

+ Stormcast/Kruleboyz releases
+ Chaos Battletome
+ Ork Codex/Combat Patrol/model wave
+ Beast Snagga general release

October

+ Aeronautica Imerialis: Wrath of Angels/Thunderhawk

November

+?

December

+ Battleforces
+ Underworlds?

Did I miss any confirmed products?

Summary:

The next two months seem absolutely packed. Unless they double up some weeks, it seems likely that the Aug/Sep releases will bleed into October.

Beyond the things we know about, there are some logical products we can expect:

- Battletome releases/Combat Patrol Equivalents
- Codex releases/Combat Patrols
- Rumored AoS Dual Box (GSG vs. BoC)
- Kill Team: They're presumably going to release the rules, and potentially, other teams.
- Necromunda/Bloodbowl/Titanicus/WarCry will all presumably get something.

So somewhere between 4-6 open release weeks not accounted for. Any thoughts on what might fill them?

Tyranids. There were a couple nid looking bits in the Rumor Engine earlier this year, and the new Warzone/WD seemed to be leaning in that direction as well.

Past the Kill Team box, I also expect general Krieg kits, at least a infantry box out of whats in KT and hopefully a HWT and Command squad, because might as well. And at that point, might as well do the Guard codex, and a character or two.

SCE and Orruk Warclan releases are coming in August, and may or may not have some bleed in to September. I think they may just have 2 weeks of pre orders and pack it pretty heavy. If anything, I think there is a good chance the Thousand Sons/GK release slips to September, though I sure hope not....

I suspect Nids or guard will be the last 40k this year. Maybe we'll get both.

generally a boixed set only includes a codex if it's a stand alone, so I doubt it'll be like that. it'll proably preview the new HQs we know are coming

Has there been 2 week preorder for codex? Don't think so.

October has confirmed chaos battletome for AOS.

Black templars are inbound soon, with no set date beyond a quick tease, so I'd say October?

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

Black Templars are going to be a small release, likely a codex and special character, likely they'll come out alongside the ork 'dex

Rumours are for supplement, helbrecht and "primaris units" (plural). Not just a character.

A Primaris unit would suprise me as so far all we've seen that way are essentially reskins of existing primaris units. maybe GW'll suprise us and put out new scouts so that we can have a primaris crusader squad?

I think the most exciting part is you look over the rumour engine pics and nearly every army left seems likely candidates for a release.

Nids: pics and over 2 editions since a new model, lots of fine cast still
Guard: already hints of new infantry release
Eldar: pics and god knows that range needs some love
Chaos marines: still have lots of old outdated kits and finecast. If WE or EC are on the way, there's some ground work to do.
Talons of the emperor: there are still some unresolved inquisitor style things, these seem likely to go here
Stealer cults: doesn't need more imo but there's a rumour engine pic for a character at least

Not likely to get much:
Daemons: don't really need anything beyond a replacement heral sculpt perhaps
Harelquins: the aborted rainy day idea, they don't seem sure what to do with them
Tau: they could do with a new wave to update the auxilia but with my list here not sure there's room for kits

Not sure if I missed anyone?

Daemons really need a new Epidemius.

I'm hoping that will be the quick character they release with the book.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't an announcement for a new Warhammer Quest product in time for Christmas.

With the new warzone, the release of Codex: Tyranids seems a given.

The Harlequins have their psychic awakening rules in an out of print issue of White Dwarf( although still available as a digital pdf ), and so we should expect them soon. Deathwatch were in the same boat and was one of the first to recieve a supplement. Why they didn't just include them in Phoenix Rising I have no idea...

Time for another print run of Space Hulk? No? Oh, okay. Never mind. Maybe next year...

They did say that traitor players wouldn't have long to wait for Traitor Legios, for Adeptus Titanicus. Lets just hope this time that they release something sensible to go with it.

Didn't they say that the new AOS Chaos book was in October? I'd bet on Aeronautica being out first, possibly alongside Kill Team.

A Warcom article on Friday confirmed that there's a new Necromunda gang due before the end of 2021, probably Nov/Dec. If we do get any AT stuff this year I'd expect to see that at the same time.

I'm curious to see if Orks will get staggered releases across several months (Aug / Sept / Oct), or just a big drop in Orktober.

Black Templars are coming, reckon we'll see a preview for them late August with a release in Q4.

I can't see Nids getting a codex this year, my money says that at best they're after Black Templars early next year. Their rumour engine pics could be Kill Team content released earlier though.

Typically Underworlds seasons come out in September, the last season was delayed to December because of Covid. I'd expect one of the September releases to be Underworlds Season 5, and then perhaps a warband release in each of the following months.

Today's Warcom pretty much confirms that Kson and GK dexes drop together along with the box.

We've received a minimum of one dex preordering per month. If the full release Ork dex does wait until September, which I doubt, that means we'd still get October and November dexes, and possibly a December dex as well. Again, they might only preorder in those months, but the point remains.

I would suspect Guard, Templars and Nids or GSC.

The Charadon terrain box is coming this weekend too, along with the sister's 2nd wave. I expect at least one KT box every other month, if not every month, so assuming the release box drops in August, we'll get 2-4 team boxes before the end of the year. Fingers crossed for Imperial Agents/ Inquisition.

Possibly an Octarius campaign book and mission pack.

I can see black templars winding up in the campaign book rather than a stand alone supplement.

I think they'll probably be a supplement with some updated sculpts, and will probably get some stuff in the new Warzone books too.

me too, the absolute most I hope for is a infantry kit that has the bits to build a command squad, a vetern squad of a generic infantry squad, a HWT kit, and the HWT kit having a tanker torso you can toss in a russ hatch

Given how thoroughly Cursed City was fethed, there's almost certainly no way they'll do another WQ this year.

Even if it was really just production issues from partners, they handled that whole mess poorly. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they quietly bury the entire line for the foreseeable future.

Even without the kerfuffle, its not a product that gets a base game multiple times a year. And with CC falling through existence, it isn't going to get supplements. At best the stuff that was almost finished will just be released to death armies.

Not only nids, but we know there's at least one model coming for GSC (I suspect only one model, sadly, similar to DE/GK/Tsons)

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Does GW bother to go to or react to Gen Con at all?

Privateer was always obsessed with various conventions, but GW hasn't bothered much with anything outside the warhammer specific ones like adepticon and whatever. At least not that I remember (and online pandemic previews aside)

I'd like to see Cursed City given a second release. They invested money in moulds; those need to be used to recover costs. Sometimes they do special Christmas reprints and such. It's just such a waste for the company to let all of that go- it doesn't make any financial sense at all.

And same with Krieg; building a command squad and heavy weapons team and releasing the lot for 40k would what, quadruple sales? Quintuple?

The one thing we know about GW is they like money.

For the remaining 40k sets I'm expecting just a new character (either generic or named) and a new book. I'll be surprised if Tau got anything close to auxiliaries as previously mentioned.

Some new Titanicus stuff that isn't just FW weapons would be good.

Not enough to redo Cursed City.
There was talk from well-known sources saying that GW has washed their hands of CC. It is why they released the models seperately.
