Hi guys,

Recently been having a look at some of the Alpha Legion rules, here's the first attempt at a list to maximise on their strengths whilst still playing the mission.

Secondaries: Engage, Banners, Stranglehold.

The plan for the list is to either DS the 20 Terminators (if facing a shooty army) or use Renascent Infiltration to move them up 9" and take control of the midboard. The 5-man CSM squads and Berzerkers buddy up inside the 3 Rhinos for a mixed combat/action monkey role. Cultists and Havocs for home objectives and adding some backline firepower.

The Headhunter Sorcerer will use Daemonshell every turn for D3 automatic mortal wounds onto characters, ignoring Look out Sir, and the other two characters buff with Presience/rerolls etc.

Very new to AL and yet to explore all the tricks they have to offer, so C+C greatly appreciated.

Its not a bad beginning list. I would probably choose just about any other heavy weapon other than missile launchers for your havocs. The frag is basically useless and for the same points lascannons are plain better, but you already have so much anti-tank you might want to look at heavy bolters or autocannons.

Also I wouldn't bother with powerfists in a unit which already has lightning claws... you'll never see the effectiveness.

I think you'll struggle with engage on all fronts. You don't actually have anything fast other than rhino's. So you'll get nothing most likely on turn 1. You also don't have a lot of resilient objective secured units so stranglehold might be tough at times, but grind em down would be worse, so there's that.

Maybe you want some raptors for speed, plus they are only 1pt more than basic chaos marines, and far better in combat than the shooting your giving up with the basic dudes.

And Mindveil would speed up your terminator lord, like a lot. So would a jump pack.
