Hi All,

I recently did a reviewed all the components from the Wargames Atlantic Dark Age Irish kit on my blog here: https://gloriousgrunt.wordpress.com/2021/08/03/dark-age-irish-review-and-comparison/

Here are the juicy pics, component breakdowns and some scale shots compared to Victrix Romans I think they scale really well, happy to field any questions about them

I would appreciate any feedback on my review as well as I have a few more coming up and want to make them as useful as possible

Thanks! Anything we could improve on?

I'm based in New Plymouth and haven't played here yet BUT I'm actually in the middle of writing a skirmish battle rule set for historicals so will definitely get out and find a group for play testing

I play 40k and other games too but have recently taken a hiatus on Games Workshop games

My brother lives near New Plymouth (he does not wargame though), but I am based near Palmerston North.

Considering you have only done two reviews I think it is too early for me to comment as your style seems to be developing.

Thanks! I was going to order two boxes of these to face off against my Victrix Vikings.

I use units of 10 so two boxes should give me what I need to make an army of 6 units or so. However, I wanted two units of slingers, and this might not get me there. :(

Yea 2 boxes would only give you 10 of the slinger arms, there is an arm holding a large rock on the sprue though and it might be an easy job to pass them as slingers?

The footsore Irish (I think they were footsore) as part of the Gripping Beast Irish starter set for Saga had a pair of models holding rocks. So, this makes sense to me.

Also, one of the Irish abilities for Saga is children throwing rocks from terrain.
