Hey guys, thanks for coming!

So, i have bought the Admech Combat Patrol box and played with them.
However it turns out i dont really like how they play, so i decided to not expand them for the moment

Now, i'm looking to play 1 of these 3 factions :

- Adepta Sororitas (with the new combat patrol box)
- Thousand Sons (i would like to go with the SC)
- Orks (i already bought me the Deffkilla Wartrike, i could buy the SC box and get 500pts ready)

So that's my story, i would appreaciate if anyone can tell me how they play and how they compare to each other
and also in my town i will be playing against mostly CSM players, what from those 3 could give me the most advantage over CSM?

Thanks!

SoB are top tier, but army costs a lot. Orks were a good mid army, no idea how good they are right now, army costs a lot. 1ksons have a new book being leaked right now. They cost no where near as much as the other armies. So if you want to wait, wait to see how orks and 1ksons do. If you want to go after what is considered one of the best armies right now, then SoB are the optimal choice.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

Seems to me that you lose interest quickly. How about watching a couple of YouTube battle reports first? After that you can decide what to collect and what not.

Ok, let's start by asking a few quick questions,

What did you NOT like about Admech?

And what made you initally decide to try Admech?

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Yeah i heard SoB are top tier, but i dont have any idea why, is it only because of the miracle dice?
Orks i know would need a lot of models and their style is to get to the engagement ASAP
is 1K sons good for beginner or are they too complex?

Not really, but honestly i got the Admech CP because that was the only 1 available in my local store
i dont really like painting Skitarii and they are too small for my taste (which i didnt know until i opened the box)

Sisters would be my choice- the Battle Sister Squad is a super customizable box packed with options, because it's designed to be Sisters, Celestians, or Doms... Or any two of those three units.

Also, in a pinch, it can ally with the Admech you already have to make a bigger army. It isn't an advantage anymore because combining forces no costs CP AND breaks army purity special rules, but if someone wants a game with a higher point value than you can field with either force, combining them at least allows you to play.

Having said all that, Brian's questions are important, and you should definitely think about those before you make any decision.

I'd reccomend sisters of battle, they look great, are a known solid army. and GW seems to be giving them lots of love.
that said if you like Orks eneugh to have bought the wartrike already then maybe consider orks.

generally speaking I'd guess that Orks are actually a cheaper army to buy than sisters right now. The basic trooper model costs the same in points, but Orks have a lot of older sculpts like trukks, battlewagons, nobs, warbikers etc that almost certainly don't bleed you as hard as the like, "60$ for five retributors, have fun!" price model that sisters have.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Hey guys, thanks for the responses!

Yeah i decided to play the sisters as my main competitive army now
i will also keep collecting the orks if i can find some cheap used models around
as for the admech idk i might as well just sell them cheap rather than leave them dusty in the cabinet

Orks are a very recent book (with the bulk of their new models and the codex itself not even available currently), and Thousand Sons will be released next weekend. I'd recommend waiting a month or so to see how things settle with those two books before making a decision/purchasing anything because you don't have all the relevant information needed yet.

Also, CSM suck - the vanilla CSM book is horrible and the army is in a very bad spot. Any 9th edition codex will be fine against CSM by default until they themselves receive a new book so that probably shouldn't factor into your thinking.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.
