Edit - they've unlocked a bunch of extra parts for core set models, extra foxes, singleplayer rules as well as a bunch of higher end tokens. In addition a bunch of earlier KS campaign games (Dragon Hunters, Signum) and starter sets for the game have all been put on sale through this KS at their original KS prices (main price not early backer prices). Just note its not live yet - this is all the pre-launch stuff so you've got plenty of time. I don't think they've given a fixed date yet (there isn't one on the KS page).

I’ll be all-in as usual. Some of the nicest…and sometimes fiddliest…minis in the industry.

No idea and it could go either way as they do both lines. It really depends on what they want to push through the KS.

They are absolutely beautiful. Definitely a fan of both the japanese fox and chinese dragon themes.

Sadly I don't do crowdfunders and yet godspeed to this project.

I'm a bit saddened there's no STL pledge this time around, but I'm sure I'll grab a few models at the least.

Maybe this will finally be the kick in the pants I needed to give the game a try.

I've got all three of the kitsune models they've released, heck, maybe I'll even get them painted before these figures release!

Yeah there's a lot of "STL please" requests. I think they've underestimated their STL fanbase they've built up. Who knows they might work on adding them if not through this then through their Patreon at a latter date.

I wonder if they're going to try for distribution?

stls would be a nix that for sure, so no offering them leaves the option open

Pretty much, they're actually selling their Legend of Signum game for quite a while now. Seems obvious to me they'd like to support it specifically rather than fueling 3D prints sellers only.

After all, it's not just the miniatures. It's also the game materials included with them. Just STL files certainly means selling for less, here.

Yeah if anything they are using it like Raging Heroes/Heroes Infinite. Putting some of their upcoming cast models into the 3D print market.

In general I think it works well because right now 3D printers are not commonplace and in general the market for them is typically a touch more arty/model focused so they just want the model itself. They aren't as fussed with playing Signum as a game (though they do give you print-capable cards for the models).

So if anything the STL group is branching out and tapping a slightly different market.

But this KS is clearly like their previous one and focused on promoting and pushing their game itself with all the dice and accessories and such that goes with that. Heck I think their previous KS is only just wrapping up in terms of shipping (likely some delays more due to the global shipping issues than anything else) So it makes sense that another would come along around now to start the next wave

Out of curiousity, would these models be available separately after the kickstarter?

I quite like the Fumiko model and would find a place in our campaign for Frostgrave( which uses a fox character as the wizard ).

Yep they've their own website and game, this purely a pre-order building up to that, which is also why delivery on it is estimated to be pretty fast. They are basically doing the same sort of thing as Privateer Press are doing.

Updates - they are just shy of the next Stretch Goal at $30K, which is a new weapon (shuriken's) and hat for the archer kitsune.

So far a good few things have been unlocked, including more tokens, optional parts and so far 3 foxes!

It's not up on the KS page yet, but I got a chance to build some of the non- starter set figures if anyone is curious about them-




Signum's resins have always been pretty nice, especially when dealing with models that have been digitally sculpted.

The cleanup is pretty simple and the size of the figures means they're pretty easy to work with and don't have much in the way of tiny fiddly bits.

Also the campaign is entering its last 50 hours or so of funding!

They've just unlocked a new hat/head and weapon for the scout kitsune




And the stretch goals have expanded once again! Two tiers are adding a singleplayer game mode and accessories; a weapon upgrade for the archer model and two more foxes.

Final 24hours! They've also unlocked a bunch of things from the earlier campaigns - the two player starter set, the dragon hunting set, cards and multiple single faction starter sets. These appear to be at their original KS prices (for the regular value not early backer bonuses of course).

So if you've wanted some Signum games material you can know get it all through the campaign!!

Check your inbox as the campaign is now going through their Pledge Manager on Backerkit. This also means that late pledges are also open! So if you missed the KS you can still jump on board now - and unlike KS you can use paypal and other payment methods.
