Does the 'Purifying Ritual' psychic action from the new GK codex increase in difficulty each time it is attempted?

All of the other powers that can be cast multiple times (Smite, Sanctic Powers, and Dominus powers in the correct Tide) explicitly state that they have an escalating cost. 'Purifying Ritual' just says it can be attempted any number of times by your psyker units.

Why would you assume there is an escalating cost when it isn't stated there is?

It does not.

I didn't assume, I just wanted confirmation, but thank you for the condescending response.

It's not condescension- you're doing the dangerous thing of "but what about..." rather than taking what's actually written.

It's an honest question to a common logical error. People often post questions that carry over a rule from A into B for no specific reason they can articulate.

If I'm going to be condescending, it will be much more blatant than "why would you assume..."

it's condescending because in no part of the OPs post did they assume it would increase. they just asked whether it would or it wouldn't. perfectly reasonable question. intricacies of the psychic phase are VERY new to most of the 40k playerbase just because of the order in which codices have come out.

I didn't say it was a quote from the op, "lol", you don't understand linguistic convention in a written medium, where you can explain a concept using quote. Lol

ok

but he didn't use said concept

there are MANY rules that aren't printed in an actual codex that apply either through faq's or through a core rulebook.

i would wager over 70% of 40k players have never even preformed a psychic action. probably even more.

the increasing difficulty in warpcharges on a psychic tree which can be cast multiple times is a brand new mechanic to the entire 40k ruleset.

1k sons which released alongside GK literally have a psychic action that increases in WC difficulty.

Yes they did - they were comparing to psychic powers (but what about these psychic powers...) as a reason why they were questioning.

They may never have performed one but they're all in the gt book I'd wager most people playing matched play have read

And if the OP had compared (but what about.., again) to TS, which is what you did, that would have been the exact same issue.

Making assumptions rather than reading what's in front.
