Hey guys, just thought I would start a thread to showcase some projects I am currently working on and a place for others to share some things they have made.
Other the last couple weeks I have been plugging away in photoshop making images of cards that I am going to have professionally printed for a TTRPG (Forbidden Lands). These are mostly
GM aids that normally I would just make on note cards. These are going to be printed onto Tarot sized cards (2.75" x 3.75").
The decks are as follows.
1) Monster deck. Monsters in FL are a distinct thing separate from people. People have stats and behave just like the players. Monsters behave a little bit differently including having a
D6 attack table.
This is a set of cards that have the monsters stats on one side and their attack table on the other. These cards are actually all done for every monster in the core game and the Bitter Reach. I will probably make some more as I go and probably some for the races with good example stats/equipment for a few things. Maybe a card for major organizations. Rust Brothers, Raven Sisters, Red Runners etc etc...
2) Crit/Magic Mishaps Deck. When a character is "Broken" (reduced to zero Strength - max strength being 6) they suffer a critical injury. These are on D66 tables (roll
2d6 - results are 11-16, 21-26, 31-36 etc etc...). There is also a horror critical table and a magic mishaps for when spells backfire. So I am sticking the results for all these D66 tables onto a single deck. The idea will be to shuffle at the start of the session then each time a card is drawn slip it back into the middle of the deck and cut the deck. Reshuffle as you feel needed.
A set of cards with all the dice results for the different critical tables and magic mishaps on it. This deck is now complete as well.
3) Encounters Decks. For exploring the hex map (currently 2 maps exist with a 3rd on the way.) These are D66 tables with different results based on the terrain giving you a number. That number relates to an event with certain events only showing up in certain kinds of terrain. Then as players explore they do certain jobs. Hunting, foraging, fishing, setting up camp etc.. and can fail and mishaps on those. So the backs of the cards are going to be the mishaps tables. Like above, shuffle, draw, add back to the middle and cut. When the players switch from drawing an event to doing jobs I can just flip the deck over, cut, and draw a card if they mishaps. Flip it back over, cut, and get back to hex crawling. This is a way for me to save space on the table.
This is actually going to be 4 decks. The first 2 are D66 card decks for rolling on the encounters tables when traveling around. This has symbols for the various hex types along with the number of the encounter and a page reference. I just finished making all of these images. 1 deck for the Bitter Reach. 1 deck for Raven Lands. The backs (work in progress) will have the results for rolling on the mishaps tables for camping etc. The other 2 decks are going to be the events themselves. These are intended to not be shuffled but just allow me to quickly pull out the events I draw from the deck and get the game moving instead of flipping pages in a book and referencing charts.

I am probably going to keep going with a reference card for traveling modifiers/weather for each map. Maybe make some decks of the spells in the game to hand to players as a quick reference and other little good tools.
What have you guys been working on?
