I just posted my 2000 pt list in the Army list section and now it is time for the Battle report.  

Game 1 of 3 Vs. Deathwing

Her list was 4x5 Term squads with two Assault Cannon each and Two commands Squads of 5 with two Assault Cannons and one with the Libby with fury and one with the master with the Sword of Secrets and there was one Venerable Dred with an Assault Cannon and Dred CCW

The Mission I think was called Unplanned Assault so there was deep strike infiltrate and reserves and you did not roll for the whole objective of the game till turn 3.  The table was lots of buildings on each end and some buildings in the center.  She kept 3 squads to deepstrike with.  I Infiltrated my command Squad 18 away from a squad.  

Turn 1 ?  She advanced her squads closer to me and shot.  The Command squad lost both of the flamers to the 3 wounds they took, you have to love the 4+ save and the apothecary with the lion helm.   

My turn I shot one squad and killed all but two assuat cannons and assaulted with the command squad where I got the company champ into base with one assault cannon and killed the two models he contacted and we piled in to the combat.  She did not make a single 5+ save this entire game.  

Turn 2 ? Her dred and one term squad showed up the squad deep struck near the command squad, and the dred walked onto the table near the command squad.  She shot some more and a few more marines died, and then she went into assault where her dred killed some marines while my command squad killed every last term and the power fist then broke off the Dred CC arm.  

I got a whirlwind and one land speeder on my turn and shot up killing the last two assault cannons of the one squad and her other two squads where out of sight.  Assualt had me shake the dred twice but pretty much leave it standing there it did nothing, no one won combat and went to turn 3

Turn 3 ? The libby showed up and deep struck on my side of the table where my squads were and her squad that was making its way through the buildings showed up and shot at me.  The Fury took out the whirlwind that showed up.  Her Squad near my command squad assaulted my command squad and was killed before it did anything by the Master and the Chaplin, shook the dred again but did not kill it.  Also rolled mission was to take pieces of Terrain

Got another whirlwind and two speeders the two speeders shot up a squad and the whirlwind seeing as it would get one turn of landmines moved in front of the libby   My shooting killed two Terms with rending and every other shot missed or did not wound.  Assault left the dred standing there once more,

Turn 4 ? her force commander squad showed up and assaulted my command squad, and she killed the whirlwind.  Her master killed most of my command squad and piled into the Chaplin and the Master

My turn I finished off the last term non command squad leavening her with the 5 in the assault with the commander and the Chaplin, could not see the libby behind the dead whirlwind.  Assualt had me kill her master and his command squad taking only one would on the Chaplin.

Turn 5 ? Her Libby squad assaulted a squad near a building and locked them in combat and the dred whiffed and I did not kill it once more.  

My turn five I moved away from her libby squad so It would not kill my last two squads and I moved to hold 3 buildings.  Assault once again left the dred standing.

Turn 6 ? Her libby squad knocked one squad in a building to below half so I had two buildings and I wiffed.

My turn six failed to kill enough of the libby squad with a lascannon and a plasma gun so it held a building so her command squad had one and her dred had one I had two buildings so a tie.  The Chaplin threw a melta bomb and got a pen and rolled a 1 and the force commander with the Sword of Secrets shoot it also.  Dred took last wound on the chaplin and game ended in a draw.

Once Again a game where I can not kill anything with an AV over 11.  The Command squad killed it?s points worth at least so I felt pretty good about the oversized command squad that coats 625 pts.  Also note that all of my speeders were killed just forgot when they were

Game 2 vs Mech Tau mission This is Heavy Doc

To start off I want to say that I never once rolled low grav and got the extra move in the five turns we got in, I did however rolled high grav only once.  

His list 4x full fire warrior squads in devil fish with smart missile system 2x hammerheads one broadside 6 crisis suits two with plasma and missile and one with burst and missile in each squad.  Commander had ion blaster and missiles.  9 man vespid squad

Turn 1 - I took first run and got normal grav.  I didn?t move but fired two mine fields first time ever doing so, one landed on a hammer head and the other on the big wall 3 of his devil fish were behind, the command squad moved towards were his crisis suits were and they figured they would make it into assault in a few turns and do something.  Nothing to shoot at due to table having no area terran that you could put models on and feel good about standing them there.  

His turn his hammer head on the mine field moved and the mines blew off the rail gun ( they did something to a vehical with armour over 11) and his vespids moved up behind some cover his smart missiles shot and did little and it was a show turn.  

Turn 2 ? Extra Grav for me so my command squad moved a bit, and a speeder jumped out and shot the vespid squad they broke and 2 plasma cannons and one lascannon stunned a devilfish.  Two more mine fields went down.

His turn some more Jump shoot jump and some movement from his squads he shot and killed maybe two from the command squad.  

Turn 3 ? normal grav so we moved up shot some more killed the stunned fish from last turn and shot the squad there down below half and then ran off the board in the next two turns.  

His turn he did more shooting and two fish moved up some.  He shot a SMS into a whirlwind and immobilized it.  ( I am good friends with this player so I rolled a jink save for the whirlwind and it would have made it too).

Turn 4 ? Normal grav moved up shot more things another two landmines and shot at things little affect however one plasma cannon overheated (only overheat all tournament, strange for my dice rolls I usually kill more plasma then other do).  

He got extra grav moved up two fish and rapid fired a squad dead.  His commander moved the turn before over a minefield and failed his save so I got half points for that.  Lots of shooting at my command squad kept them above half still.  

Turn 5 ? last turn we played.  I knew I was doomed at this point, because the terrain had three of my squads on the other side of a mountain from his fish and had nothing to shoot but the hammer head with no rail gun.  So I moved up a lascannon squad and shot a fire warrior squad

His turn extra grav for him he killed the lascannon squad and knocked the command squad bellow half.

We stopped playing cause I could do nothing on my last turn.  I learned that mine fields are loads of fun vs skimmers and vehicles in general that I usually can?t kill.  Also my command squad took lots and lots of shooting to kill so I felt good at bout them.  Mission sucked for both of us

Last Game ? Sustained assault where troops keep coming back after they die his list was Space marines fluff army for crimson fists, he won best painted.  Command squad with the less maseter in razer back with 2 meltas 3 powerfists including the master and all had term honorus upgraded so expensive squad.  One 10 man scout squad that had a heavy bolter 4 snipers.  3 rhino squads of 10 with a missle launcher and a flamer, and regular sergeant.  One 7 man termanator chaplin command squad with two assault cannons and one dred in drop with flamer assault cannon and CCW.  

I set up to shoot at his army, and infiltrated my command squad, his scouts did not infiltrate.  Infiltrators got a free scout move so I moved my command squad behind a hill.

 Turn 1 - I gave him first run and he moved up the razerback and his three rhinos to my command squad the command squad got out and the other squad got out as well.  He shoot everything into my command squad took one wound and then ignored it.  

My turn had me stuning a rhino with no one in it with a speeder and my command squad assaulted his command squad with no wounds and then piled into his troop squad that jumped out last turn.  

Turn 2 ? he got no reserves this turn and his shooting broke a assault cannon off of a speeder.

 I killed the squad in assault and moved to go kill a rhino.  I moved up and killed one rhino with a speeder and assaulted and killed everyone in it but two who did no wounds back.  

Turn 3 ? His command terms showed up and blew a plasma cannon squad down too 3 men and I killed his last people off in assault.

I moved my command squad around his last rhino and moved a speeder up and blew it up and the squad inside had no where to climb out.  Killed all but 3 termies and the chaplin with shooting.  

Turn 4 ? His dred dropped and flamed and shot at my whirlwinds, one lost its gun that was all.  The chaplin squad assaulted and moved into a squad of mine.  Not good for me.  

I moved shot some scouts with speeders and that was my turn.  He killed off the squad in combat and moved twards another squad

Dread assaults and kills a whirlwind, his termies assault another squad

My turn has two squads show up and rapid fire plasma into the back of the dred killing it and then the other squad killed the drop pod.  We called the game here.  

Win for me, and my command squad did not take a single wound.  

Good game for me, but then again his list was not geared for competive play, but for fluff.  

So this was my second tournament and I have been playing for about a year now.  Went 1-1-1 hope you enjoyed this report

Hey, man, nice games!

BTW, I was playing the DE that won overall. You're right; that second mission was a pain in the butt.
