So I saw the new Bloodbowl miniature on preorder from ForgeWorld which is a werewolf, and granted I’m not sure of the connection that game has to AoS but it does make me wonder, is this a route GW could possibly go down in the future? Or was it already a thing in WFB?

Skin wolves were/are the Warhammer take on werewolves, they were a chaos unit with a Forge World kit for a number of years. In AoS they featured in one of the audio dramas, also as chaos. They are considerably more monstrous than the Halloween, undead-associated version used in Blood Bowl.

Both are pretty appropriate for the context IMO.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Yeah but with them focusing on Stormcasts plus the new Kruelboyz and the upcoming spider faction, this isn’t likely to be anything that would if at all appear in this edition.

Aren't a few of the new SoulBlight Heroes a bit Lycan?

Not a full faction, no units in it, yet, but an interesting start.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

an inital release at launch hardly means they're gonna be the only stuff put out

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

a) spider thing seems to have been chaos related(look at warcom with spiderman for chaos)
b) 40k went past marines and particularly necrons fast. The 2 isn't whole edition and kruleboyz are pretty much done for next few years(after boltboys think it's just the one dominion exclusive sprue being left to release)

Yeah, the Vyrkos are pretty 'lycan-ish', with their emphasis on wolves, beast forms, and even spells that summon more dire wolves or turn opponents into wolves. I wouldn't be surprised to see more wolfy things come out for Soulblight later on to fit into the Vyrkos line.

I suppose the vargskyr could be considered a sort of werewolf.

A were-faction in totality for destruction would actually be sick as heck. You could have all kinds of were-animals, sharks, bears, wolves, armadillos! The sky is literally the limit when it comes to what works well within the setting. While we're at it, bring back Tomb Kings as an undead Order faction, really drive home that idea that Nagash is a bastard. There is SO much potential for faction design within Age of Sigmar. Bring on the insect people, hell go really weird and give us living plants and root-swamp-monster-things.

The spider people are just a thing for Warcry, a chaos cult. Not likely to become their own army.
