So I’m getting back into Tau and was considering getting some Vespids. The pics online actually look alright, considering they’re old resin models, but wanted to get some opinions from peeps who own them.

So, do they hold up and look good still? Or are they rough in person?

Thanks in advance.

The sculpting I think is fine for what it is. Personally I wouldn't have called them great models even at the time of release, but I don't think they aged badly. Considering they were sculpted to stand alongside Fire Warriors and Kroot and those models have not had a change in aesthetic or in the case of the Fire Warriors specifically an update that altered their proportions I'd say Vespids are still alright. The biggest thing about them probably is that they are metal sculpts cast in very few parts, so the pose, wings and all, mostly exists on two dimensions with none of the depth you would get out of a modern multipart plastic kit.

On the actual model quality, I only have the metal models. I don't know what quality to expect from the resin versions.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I can see what you mean. Their heads are also a little goofy, and their wings are disturbingly tiny haha.
