Hi All,

I recently reviewed the Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder (video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HDo5TY3H9o)

I think these make perfect conscripts and as they come in a box of 30 so you can make a FULL unit for $35 USD (GW Cadians would cost $135USD to get 30 "Conscripts")

Here are some shots comparing them to other WGA kits and some mixing of GW & Anvil Industries bitz I did, if you would like more images or info let me know I'm currently building and assembling them

your mind

Great deal for 30gits to soak bolted rounds.
Agreed that they don’t quite fit Chadian bits however…

I bought a box. I'll experiment and see what i can do with it. Thinking I'll sculpt some armour with GS on them, maybe some gasmaks and details too. I like that those minis are almost like blank slates.

Brutal, but kunning!

They look like they'd mix and match well with GSC Neophyte arms/weapons/heads.

Now we just need GSC to not be terrible.

I actually do this with the Forge Fathers as a squats proxy. Narratively, they're just there to earn some ale money and I play them a little more reckless.

Yep, i think these minis are ripe for adding sculpted armour and such.

I'll agree that these make decent counts-as Conscripts. I certainly wouldn't use them for my regular Guardsmen though; too few special weapons (just plasma). WGA's stuff is really cool though, and it'll certainly be interesting to see what people do with the Cannon Fodder as it is such a generic kit.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

It would be interesting to see Cadian arms on the Grognard torsos, Rumjager Torsos and the upcoming bits in space line as well.

I'm hoping the extra bulkiness of the torsos from those kits (as they wear armour, coats etc.) would mesh well with Cadian arms/weapons to create Astra Militarum squads in bulk but with perfect WYSIWYG options shown on the models themselves...
