Hello, I am looking for rules on using Craftworlds in 5th edition. I know the Mymera Craftworld is in the Imperial Armour book, are there any other Craftworlds in 5th edition in any of the many rule books that are scattered about? If not, is it possible to use 3rd edition Craftworld rules in a 5th edition game?

Thanks for your time and info!

There was relatively little released for Eldar in 5th edition outside of forgeworld materials, and their 4e codex came at a time when GW was pulling back on 'free bonuses for paint'.

While there were extra units released at the time (i.e. wasps, hornets, warp hunters, wraithseers, shadow spectres), none of them were restricted in any way to a craftworld, though some fit well with craftworld-style lists such as the wraithseer with Iyanden.

A number of the craftworlder rules made it into the 4e book though - pathfinders, troops choice wraithguard, troops choice jetbikes, and the autarch can be equipped as a wild rider.

The big things left out of the 4e book were the disruption chart and Ulthwes discount psykers - and they are probably best left.

On moon miranda.

A.T. covered most of it. Eldar didn't get a 5E specific codex, they just used their 4E book for that edition. Mymeara and the FW stuff was pretty much the only new Eldar additions during that time.

You absolutely could use the 3E rules for 5E if you wanted to, they'll be a bit less competitive than the 4E book and have a couple wargear items that may not work right due to rules changes, but overall should be perfectly fine to use.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

The 4th ed codex has all the tools to play the various craft world armies and we use it in our 5th edition games just fine.

We have a topic here in the forums for playing old editions of 40K

I'm not too sure about craftworlds, but ork fliers were released through white dwarf at the end of 5th. Maybe it's the same for eldar.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

In 5th, it was pretty much the dated 4th ed Codex. Mechdar became a thing. I personally ran 6 Wave Serpents and 6-9 War Walkers throughout the edition.

Never played or heard of anyone using 3rd edition Craftworld rules during 5th edition.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
