Hey y’all, I’m asking this because I’m going through with my plan to use proxies to play space hulk, but I want/need to know some specifics about the first edition (which is the one I’ll be making).

Question 1 is: how big are the squares (lengthwise) from what I can tell they are about 1-1.5 inches.

Question 2: what type of terminators come with the first edition? Whenever I look they only say “10 terminator marines”, but what I want to know is what kinds of marines it comes with. My assumption would be something like this:
1 marine with power sword
1 marine with thunder hammer and storm shield
1 marine with flamer
1 marine with assault cannon
1 marine with lightning claws
5 marines with bolters and power fists.

If anyone can answer these questions I’d be super grateful. Thanks in advanced!

I think it was 8 with storm bolters and 2 with heavy flamers, but I'm not 100% sure...

Yep, 1 or 2 squads of 5 are used, 4 storm bolters and 1 flamer in each squad. One of the bolter boys is designated sergeant, so having a power sword might show that well. The red base above is the flamer (original models also came with a clip-on flamer unit)

The sergeant adds 30secs to the marine play-clock (if you choose to use it) and has +1 to CC rolls if I recall correctly, so is worth marking out (I think it was the white base

You're correct. Sarge has +1 in CC and flamer guy was always present. Game came with two squads so 2 sarges, 2 flamers and 6 regular terminators.

Deathwing expansion added lighting claws, thunder hammers, assault cannon, captain with power sword, librarian. Genestealer expansion added genestealer hybrids and psychic combat cardgame.

Square sizes were made to accomodate 25mm bases, but unsure how much extra margin was present.

Sarge could also parry one stealer die.
