im looking to scratch build a mech version of a patriarch ill use the measurements from the broodlord/patriarch model i was wondering if the model as a whole including base would be the correct size or do i disregard the the base and just use the actual creature for measurements sake?

if anyone has seen the movie deathmachine with brad dourif youll get the idea of what im going to build

Well, it's certainly an ambitious plan, but it could totally work! If you measure based on the original model, it should fit on the same base, which is all that realistically maters. Can't wait to see where this one goes!

I did something similar a few years ago using Belisarius cawl and the classic 2nd ed hive tyrant. The base is obviously a little large for your needs but it may provide some inspiration.

so i finally finished the build phase what do you guys think
the patriarch is for reference to size my model is chunkier but height and width are the same mine just looks beefy

I'm not a fan of the pose, I think the legs need to be adjusted either to look on-balance, or really lean into the whole "leaping forward" motion. AS for the assembly itself, looks great!
Can't wait to see how this turns out.
