Subject: Skyrim Adventure Game - 82 Minis & Skirmish Rules
Modiphius has been crowdfunding a huge narrative-driven adventure board game for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim over on Gamefound. Part of the project includes a bunch of 32mm scale pre-assembled PVC minis - 6 heroes in the base game, 4 heroes in the Dawnguard Expansion, 10 Ghostly minis in the From the Ashes Expansion (with the chance of a big dragon) plus another 10 heroes in the Miniatures Upgrade Set and 52 enemies - 82 minis all together. We've also unlocked a free simple skirmish game inside the Minis Upgrade Set that uses the same dice and unit cards as The Elder Scrolls Call to Arms miniatures game. All the unit cards are compatible with Call to Arms and you get an extra set of the Call to Arms dice, plus the miniatures are all the same scale as our resin range. There are 12 new sculpts (that will eventually appear in resin) and 18 existing sculpts.
You can get the Minis Upgrade Set - 62 minis and rules for £55 (£80 in retail) in the project or look at the various tiers if the board game interests you - you can even play the game for free right now on Steam here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2610109664
I‘m going to fight the urge to make a joke about re-releasing Skyrim yet again. Unfortunately, it would appear I just failed.
Anyway, that sounds quite interesting! I’m rather hopeful this can suffice as a “not-quite RPG” in the same vein of something like Talisman. Judging from the inclusion of Blades and Thalmor minis, might this particular game center around the White-Gold Concordat affair?

I've never played the game, so maybe they hit the right nostalgia notes.
SkavenLord wrote:Oh! Those aren’t the final miniatures? They look close enough to their in-game counterparts, though I think someone confused Daedra with Atronachs.
I agree though, I can see where some problems might arise in the final molds. The faces in particular seem like they could get warped.
Hi, the pictures are of the actual final miniatures that you will get in the box. These are the first out of the final moulds to show us before we got to mass production. Check the pictures at the top of the page for the detail - the sculpts are the same as those for our Call to Arms resin miniatures with a few tweaks to help them work better in PVC.

From what I've seen it's focused on a group of Blades escaping into Skyrim (so presumably after the Concordat although it could be earlier) and then following that thread through up until 'current' TES:V timeline (especially if we're branching into Dawnguard content).
Atronachs are a type of Daedra so it's not necessarily wrong of them to use that sculpt from the CTA range to represent them though I probably would also have liked to see a Dremora myself (but then I want them for CtA anyway and they might be a while away given they're not a huge part of TES:V).
