Is anyone in the US experiencing this? I'm waiting on two orders, placed on October 12th and 26th; neither have shipped. Two weeks ago I emailed them and this was the response:

"Thank you for your email and apologies for the late response as we are working with a higher than usual volume of emails. Orders were not processing for a few days while the North American warehouse makes some changes to its processing/back end systems. I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused but I can now confirm that our service has been restored and orders are dispatching as normal. If your order has not dispatched yet, we can expect it to leave shortly."

Wondering if anyone is in the same boat before I start bombarding them with emails.

Yes. I just got my WD with the Hunter Clade Kill Team rules that I ordered as soon as it went up.

Only thing I'm waiting on are MTO Steel Legion stuff.
But they've got months to go before I complain they're late.

Honestly, unless there's no other option (for ex; Last Call for the Steel Legion), I try & avoid ordering from GW/FW Oct+ each year. And that was before Covid & related shipping delays.

I haven't seen a message like that. However, Forgeworld most certainly has shipping delays this time of year as they always do.

I'm sure your order will ship.. just delayed.

There is the Christmas delivery promise provided you ordered before the cutoff so just give it a little more time.

I had ordered something on the 17th of October (in order to get the exclusive Sgt. Castus model), and it took over a month to get to me. I also received that same canned email when I messaged them about my package being late. The funny thing was, the Sgt. Castus model got here right away; it was the main part of the order that was delayed.

So yes, GW is obviously experiencing significant delays in shipping for unknown (or unadmitted) reasons.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

They admit it right here:

Coupled with the delays at the bigger ports on the East, it's likely been a nightmare for the people involved.

Same thing for me. I pre-ordered Harrowdeep on October 16th and it just shipped yesterday. I emailed customer service twice about it and got the same thing about the NA warehouse system change delay. Yet the Warhammer Day vampire I ordered 3 weeks later (that said it would ship in 120 days) arrived about a week or so after I ordered it

I've been waiting for a Fire Raptor since late October. Have not sent any emails, but probably will if it's not here by this weekend.

Long story short, yes got a similar response to orders placed. Though I initially got a very different explanation that was flat out wrong to the point that either they didn't actually look into my orders or were given a script that was to put it generously factually incorrect. Keep in mind the replies would take several days.

After several back in forth e-mails, my patience was exhausted, I told them to give me a ship date or cancel my orders. The very next response was they said they couldn't cancel the orders and refund my money because the orders were now in the shipping que and would be shipping "soon" but they still didn’t know when the orders would ship because once the orders get to that stage they can’t tell exactly where the orders are.

My response was I contacted my credit card company, disputed the charges citing GW's failure to deliver well beyond both advertised and small print shipping time frames and the GW’s statement that they couldn't refund my money until the order ship but could not tell me when it would ship. My CC company charged back GW for both orders and had credited the money back to me within 24 hours.

Since then, I have gotten another e-mail where they acknowledged that my orders were unilaterally refunded by my CC company, that they were accepting the charge backs without dispute and that they would be issuing call tags to have the orders returned if they do ship (one has shipped, to local store, the other and the one placed back at the beginning of October still has not shipped).

This whole fiasco is why I am pretty sure GW announced that the shipping deadline for Christmas delivery in North America was Dec. 1. Though given how things have progressed, that is likely optimistic.

In short, I am recommending to anyone who will listen to avoid placing orders with GW directly, but if you must place an order with GW I would suggest you only do so if you can have it delivered to your local store as those orders seem to get processed more quickly than orders being shipped to private address. Otherwise be prepared to wait 60 days plus for your order to ship.

Yeah, those diabolical "order to store" things going first are why I got my KT: Chalnath box (ordered to home) almost two weeks before my WD468 (ordered to store with a digital voucher).

If you're placing a preorder with GW and having it shipped to home here in the US? They do not begin shipping orders until after the release date.

This seems to be right, first order shipped today and it's been about 8 weeks. It wouldn't kill them to just admit that it will take a long time.

Waaaaaay before them. I recall ordering from fw nearly 20 years ago, qnd coming to the same conclusion qbout order dates and shipping ezpectations. Im shocked its been that consistent for this long.

I had ordered a bunch of Krieg stuff on October 4th which still hasn't shipped. After hitting 40+ "working days" I asked for a refund and got the same canned response, but no refund. Oddly enough, I had two previous and equally large FW orders from Aug/Sep that shipped/delivered within 4-5 weeks, which is obviously long, but acceptable given that I was already backed up with projects.

As others have suggested, I too think ordering directly from GW/FW should be avoided at all costs if possible. Hell, even preorders will arrive at your FLGS week(s) before they arrive at your doorstep (continental US).

I had a buddy that ordered the Khorne Blood Bowl stuff and called to check on it, GW customer service said that GW US is 20 days behind on shipping orders.
Doesn't make me too happy because I just ordered the new Necromunda stuff last weekend.

I ordered some bases, and it took three weeks to ship. Granted, I always get items shipped to my local store, so once it shipped it was there in like two days lol.

Definitely not the only one. I ordered three items the last week of October, all supposedly in stock. I got one of the three last week, and there’s no indication of when I might get the other two.

The end result was so ludicrous, I felt the need to post this follow up - I got the last two boxes from my order at the end of October today. 3 small items, 3 separate boxes. And the topper was that the final item that came alone was a copy of White Dwarf 468, in a box so large, you probably could have fit at least 35 more copies in it…

HAHAHA! I had the same thing happen to me.

I can add that ordering from GW's webstore for the last two years has been anything but pleasant.

Yeah, my total turn around time for (in stock) items at beginning of the last week of October was 47 days (31 business days).

The order was split in half without warning and the first half shipped without notice. The actual shipping notice for the second half included everything, which made me wonder if I was getting some of the order shipped and charged twice (no, thankfully)

Since they warn of 20 business days to process an order (absurd, doubly so since they can't manage that), I emailed at 21 business days, and got a canned response, including that the person at the custserv email couldn't reach the warehouse at this time (that was Thanksgiving day, so... of course not. But that told me that email folks aren't in this country and are pretty disconnected from the warehouse)

The best part was the email informed me that my shipment had been allocated but not yet shipped. Not sure why 5 boxes being placed in another box and a shipping label applied to the outside took two more weeks, but at this point, whatever. I don't care about back end changes, this isn't that hard.

Anyway, everything was finally here by mid December. But, I doubt I'll order direct again. At least without a LOT of incentives.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

I ordered a van saar arachni rig, champ with spiders, and an AT weapon on the 16th. The arachni rig and AT weapon were on my doorstep in Florida on the 20th. Not sure where my other kit is but I'm happy painting these for now.

So I got kind of tanked on Monday night and ordered a bunch of stuff I shouldn't have and somehow its sitting on my doorstep right now (Wednesday). I'm still in a state of shock.

Meanwhile, my FW order from October is still pending.

Does FW have separate distribution for the US? I ordered something from FW early Nov and it arrived mid December, shipping to Australia. The Royal Mail tracking doesn't work though so I never had any idea where it was or when it was going to arrive.

Don't quote me 100% on this, but I think they've got stock to distribute in every different region now?

I know US has some items that originate directly from Memphis' warehouse. My IA Compendium I ordered in July came from Memphis rather than the UK.

Soooo silly question. I haven't ordered from FW yet but have a few items I want. Do they ship from UK? Or do they have a US warehouse that items ship from?

The stuff I ordered came from Nottingham/UK to Australia and took 5 or 6 weeks or so, so they must not have a distribution centre here for FW. For regular GW stuff, it's been a while since I've ordered anything direct from GW but I think it comes from Sydney.

They have a warehouse in Tennessee, that's the return address on all my FW packages. No way they could get stuff from the UK to Florida in 2-3 days

For reference, the Fire Raptor I was waiting for took about 6.5 weeks for delivery in the US.

Not sure why it was delayed.
