Like the title says: Has GW just stopped producing their plastic glue? I haven't been able to find any for months, it's not on their webpage any more, but I can't find any explanation why anywhere.

I’ve rarely heard anything good said about GW’s glue.
A lot of their hobby tools and supplies are re-branded stuff that’s not bad quality, just at a pretty hefty mark up. But the glues are frequently mentioned as not only being more expensive then the other options, but actually crappy.

I thought their brush on poly cement quite good (the one with squig on)

It’s not universal. Whenever the topic comes up, a few people chime in with positive reviews. But overall, the consensus is to look elsewhere.
End of the day, find what works for you and roll with it. For me, the big switch was to testors with the needle tip applicator. So much better than the old tubes. I do use brush on krazy glue for when supergluing.

I have switched to this, I haven’t used the GW brush in cement but I used the one that has the long nozzle which got blocked right away! Tbf it glues it’s just not very accurate

If the long metal nozzle gets blocked, you can clear it in 10 seconds - just hold it in some tweezers or something over a flame and burn out the dried glue. Quick splash with some water afterwards to cool it down and you're back in business.
NB remove it from the bottle before holding it over a flame...

Yep, long thin metal nozzles are the best form of application for plastic glue/cement. If it doesn't have one, I don't use it. I just wish there was a similar non-clogging applicator option for superglue.

I have found as well, that the GW plastic glue has the best aplicator I've ever used, great for small deatails and being precise. The metal rod jams up, but it's quick to burn out with a lighter, and not a huge problem.

I've always used Testor's Model Master plastic cement with the metal nozzle (for 30+ years). Unfortunately, I think that is discontinued now as well :( . I've been trying out the Tamiya Extra Thin, but man that Testor's stuff was golden

Yeah, Testors Model Master was my go-to for years, but it was discontinued earlier this year, I switched over to Citadel as it was the only alternative I could find readily available with the needle applicator.

Damn. Glad I have a spare bottle of testors if they stopped making it.

Tamiya or Mr. Cement extra thin are my go-to polystyrene cements now. I've also had good luck with PlaStruct cement, but it's harder to find for some reason now.

Yet, weirdly, the tube they use is too long for the bottle and gets pushed inside when you put the cap back on.
Which is annoying.

I recommend Tamiya plastic glue, specifically the fast drying stuff. I get a much better bond than when I use their standard plastic glue. I'm also a big fan of the brush applicator.
