I wanted to check if the 40k Blackstone fortress datasheets are still valid in 40k matched play? The obvious answer seems like yes, since they received points in CA2021, but I wanted to make sure that there wasn't something I was overlooking before I started slotting units into my lists - obviously the keyword limitations can make this challenging.

Yes they are, with the challenges you’ve already spotted in terms of including them. I doubt they see Matched Play often…

I would say there are a few exceptions when it comes to BSF units that are in codexes released in 2021.

For example, Thaddus the Purifer and Pious Vorne have been incorporated into Codex Adepta Sororitas as the generic Missionary and Preacher units. Their BSF datasheets should probably be considered null and void.

That makes sense Alextroy, although I feel the line of datasheet succession can sometimes get muddy. But there is a strong argument to be had to consider Codices released after CA2021mk2 as updating or replacing the datasheets from BSF. Thanks.
