Hey i'm thinking bout getting the Citadel spray stick
is it any good? Or are there better alternatives (bearing in mind its too wet here to stick cardboard boxes on anything to spray)

I use an offcut of wood. It was free.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I use the frames / sprues that the models come on. Once the models are assembled (or in sub assemblies if necessary) I just blutack them down (poster tack or whatever it's called in your location) to the now empty frame, stick a cheap disposable glove on to hold it.

The nice thing about the empty frames, you can spray upwards from underneath the model through the gaps in the frame.

Just be aware that if it's a large-ish model, you may need to blutack at 3 or 4 points so it doesn't tip over, so you can't stick down to just a bar running through mid air, but might need to blutack where 3 or 4 bars meet so that you can stick it down better.

A couple of times I actually superglued the models to the sprues then just clipped them off later. That worked fine, superglue it brittle so if you don't use tons it's easy to get off later. But the blutack works fine and is less work.

or Alligator Clips

For price of 1 Citadel spray stick, I can get 2 of these https://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/airbrushing/1557-airbrush-clip-board.html?search_query=Alligator+Clips+&results=2

I was just bought it for Xmas but not had chance to try it. If I get to use it in the next week I’ll let you know if it’s any good

If you want to give gw money for old rope, you can, but there are probably a million things I'm your house that you could use to fashion something appropriate to perform the task.

This is what I use. Its simply a box with holes cut into so I can fit my model holders. there are also smaller holes that can hold toothpicks or what not for sub assemblies. This was the first box I tested this method with, but I have a larger box that holds up to 8 models at a time in the same fashion.

Another one I've occasionally done is just to blutack the models to the box they came in, just along the long narrow edge of the box so I can get under them to spray from below.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "too wet here to stick cardboard boxes on anything", you just do the blutacking inside your house, take them outside to spray then bring them back in, it's not like you're leaving them out in the rain.

I think he means that it is wet outside so he can’t put the cardboard box down on any surfaces.
