They're good reports, well written, and it's very clear what's happening. I haven't played any Bolt Action and I can still get a good sense of the... well, action.

Thanks Krij, glad you enjoyed them. Makes the map drawing worth it!

I hope you keep them going!

Out of curiosity, what would you consider a good starting point for getting into Bolt Action?

Most of the army boxes are a pretty good starting point since they come with 1,000 points worth of models. Some are better than others balance wise, but they are all a good value compared to buying the kits separately. If you have a friend who is also interested then the Band of Brothers or Island Assault! boxes would be something to look at splitting. Those two boxes also come with dice, pin markers, rule book, and models for two armies that you can split.

Glad to see you're having fun with it.

On a related note, one of these days I need to get a look at the book to see if the Allied Romanian formation is as riddled with inaccuracies as the ones in the Axis Minors book.

Hey all, hope you’ve enjoyed these. Thanks for the comments! After a long delay we got time to fight the next one - The Back Door Left Open. The Soviets attempt a lodgement in Budapest:

Some interesting food for thought on doing urban with Bolt Action.

Another great scrap. Last one for a long time sadly.
