Picks right up where the latest Suicide Squad movies leaves off, complete with a Previously On Suicide Squad that will spoil the movie if you haven’t seen it. Has the same kind of style as the movie with a few returning characters from it. I’m enjoying it. Everyone is going to love the eagle.

Oh, additional warning for Peacemaker I was just reminded of, it’s on HBO so it has the obligatory fully nude sex scene.

Lot of odd choices in the show that I won't go into, but that opening credits is hard to look away from.

Jesus Christ, Robert Patrick called John Cena a simp. That was unexpected. What 80 year old even knows what simp means?

None. Kinda makes you think that the writer is projecting... quite a bit in some places.

I'm not sure anyone really knows what a simp is anymore (except that it's a bad thing). I've seen the word thrown around in such wildly incoherent contexts I think it's just become another euphemism for being a loser. Except it stands out like a sore thumb because we all know it's original context and can't figure out why it gets thrown around so much in contexts that don't seem to relate :/

It's... early 20th century slang for simpleton? I don't actually know another meaning, which probably means I need to brush up.

Simpering (or fawning, if that term is more familiar). Though its often used disparagingly the same way 'White Knight' is, usually for 'hot' people of whatever gender the simp prefers.
'Wormtongue is a simp for Saruman' would not be an entirely inaccurate use.

Yeah. The internet adopted it as a word for someone who promotes someone else to a ludicrous degree, namely men who are way too into a particular camgirl or something like that. The word very very quickly though ended up being used far outside of that context, basically becoming just another word for a loser. Which ironically probably brings the word back around to its pre-Internet use now that I think about it.

The post credit scene are more, not bloopers, but kind of a brief alternate shoot of a scene from that episode.

He's fantastic in it. His comedic acting abilities are almost as natural as Chris Hemsworth's.

Watched 2 and 3 while doing cardio. I'm not going to say it's better, but Peacemaker has so far been far more enjoyable to watch than the batch of MCU shows. Gunn has a better handle on live-action comic adaptations than...possibly anyone.

Biggest surprise was that Band-Maid was featured the e3 soundtrack...and now all the YT comments are "Who's here from Peacemaker???"

The whole show is fantastic. I genuinely laugh out loud multiple times each episode.

Lots of things I could say and compliment, but one tiny recurring thing I'm enjoying is the mention of an obscure DC superhero in each episode. Partially because it feels like Gunn trolling the studio. "Oh, you're back to wanting continuity again? How do ya like this one?" I picture some schlub back at WB thinking "aw man, now they're going to want to see Matter-Eater Lad in something!"

Maybe it's just me.

Cena really is fantastic. I've known he was pretty funny since he did an episode of Psych but this is a whole other level.

And lord that opening credit scene. A thing of true beauty.

I love how they're all completely stone-faced during that dance. They had to lose some takes to people busting out laughing.

Well, the show is certainly a lot darker with its latest alien body stealing episode! Also I do like how they have some truly awful people in it and don't try and justify stuff like murdering three cops then laughing with their corpses. How refreshing...

My first thought was obviously that wont get to stick and we’ll find out the butterflies aren’t really evil and will leave their hosts. Then I remembered Suicide Squad this spun off of had everyone hit by a Starro spore die from it and that was Way more people than just one police house.

Also I’m legitimately unsure if the post credit of the guy laughing while trying to act sad is the actor or the character. Both are quite equally plausible and work in that scene/setting.

I believe the credits scenes are meant to be extended takes on scenes that happened, but aren't in so things don't drag. As opposed to outtakes or similar.

I am so excited to see The Swede join the cast! That guy's an absolute lunatic. This show has done quite a trick to typically make Peacemaker the least psychopathic person in the room.... and then he throws a homemade super hand grenade.

Hell on Wheels! Thats where I knew that dude from. Thanks, was bugging me.

I’m still all in on this series. I had thought I’d tap out after the dark humor and violence got repetitive, like I did about 1/3rd into Deadpool 2, but I think its hitting the right notes on being dark, violent, funny and at times kind of heart warming.

The only shows I’m watching are this and Book of Boba Fett, and its Peacemaker and the cast that I want more of every week.

Spoiler:
Hopefully the fatal after effect of the butterflies taking over hosts is nullified, as I liked the 2 cops investigating Peacemaker and his dad. The banter between the woman and White Dragon was always funny. Would be cool to see them investigating “cape gak” as a show.
