Nice that it's on a proper sized table, but I find it baffling that someone would get a mat like that but put buildings in the middle of the streets. Why go to the expense?

There's no expense, it's all club stuff. But regarding building layout matching the mat, it rarely occurs to me; in this case I just see it as newer layers of development and temporary constructions built over the top of ruined roads which are no longer used. I might try to pay more attention to this in future though.
