Another variation - 3 Heavy Intercessor on the "safe"-ish objectives. Most of the rest - Characters, Aggressors, and Bladeguard - into a roving Deathstar. Tiggy makes a unit hard to hit, Cassius (aside from Litanies) makes you take Mortal Wounds for killing me in melee. Aggressors have the Dakka for horde-style and the power fists for vehicles. Bladeguard have the powerswords for elite infantry. The Blade Guard Ancient (in addition to normal Bladeguard Ancient effects) makes them both ObSec within 6". The Apothecary gets to (potentially) Combat Restorative both each turn, always 3 wounds, and free Ressurection stratagems. Acquittal is just bonus and the best of the options I had with so many nameds. Other choices would have been Honored Sergeant'ing something - best choice is probably Sunwrath onto the Bladeguard Vet Sgt.
For the other Chapter Command:
Cassius was too much of a bargain to make a Primaris MOS. Heck he's cheaper before you start adding on. (Your Chapter nameds may vary)
Chief Librarian - can't compete with Tiggy's built-ins. (Again, your chapter nameds may vary)
Chapter champion - was very tempting for reroll charges, but that came in third to the healing and the obsec. I might trade it for the ObSec - I'd say its almost tied there - especially if you add the Champion Relic.
Master of the Forge had some appeal if I would have squeezed a couple Dreads into the Deathstar, but it was already kinda big. Trading the Invader and 9 Eliminators for 2 Dreads and a MOF as a mini-Deathstar deserves some thought, but I prefer the three Concealed Positions units and 9 Las Talons.
Chapter Master: Guilliman was already a Chapter Master AND THEN SOME also he also works on the plethora of characters in the Deathstar, and a Lieutenant (which can't be Chapter Command'ed) That said the Chapter Master Specific Warlord Trait should just about pay for Chapter Commanding your two per Strike Force. The Relic was less impressive.
One change I'm considering is swapping the ATV for Victrix Guard to go stand next to five characters - this would also free up some points for some Heavy Weapons for Heavy Intercessors. If I do that, I might go First Born Chief Apothecary to fit all three and then go with Purgatorus or Teeth of Terra etc instead of Acquittal. Automatically Appended Next Post: Adding a Relics of the Chapter to give the Bladeguard Ancient the standard of Macragge Inviolate. +1A to every Core unit - so Bladeguard MC Powerswords are +1A, +1 to hit, and the Aggressors are +1A with those fists. Thats more than 50 attacks on the charge from just those two squads half +1 to hit MC PowerSword, half Power Fist, all reroll, all reroll 1 to wound - tack on exhortation of rage only 1's fail vs T4... Feels like it's worth a CP.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Hmm would you go Indomitus for Precognition, Scryer's Gace and Telepathic Assault, or would you go Librarius for Veil of Time, Might of Heroes and... Null Zone? Null zone feels like a double-edged sword but also very useful if they run into an anvil unit with high and/or plenty of invulns.
