The Scions of Rage is an Imperial Fists successor chapter (because I paint my Space Marines yellow - no other reason). The custom chapter traits are 1) Scions of the Forge (vehicles act as if they have twice as many wounds for determining wound track) and 2) Whirlwind of Rage (when charged, charging, or Heroically intervening, a 6 to hit = 2 successful hits).

Obviously, the Scions of Rage army wants to be either vehicles with wound tracks or choppy/punchy things. Redemptor Dreads are both, so it's a great model for the army! I don't have a Leviathan or Deredeo or I would add them too...

HQ
Captain - MC Boltgun, power fist
Librarian - Boltgun, force sword. 2+/5++ armor relic. Chief Librarian. Veil of Time, MIght of Heroes, Psychic Barrier (or whatever the 5+ inv save bubble is)
Primaris Techmarine - master-crafted Forge bolter (so it's 3dmg instead of just 2!). Master of the Forge

Troops
Assault Intercessors x4, Sgt w/powerfist
Assault Intercessors x4, Sgt w/powerfist
Infiltrators x4, Infiltrator Sgt

Elites
Centurion Assault squad - siege drills, hurricane bolters, flamers
Redemptor Dread - Macro-plasma, onslaught gat, storm bolters x2, icarus pod
Redemptor Dread - Heavy Onslaught gat, flamer, fragstorm launchers x2
Redemptor Dread - Heavy Onslaught gat, flamer, fragstorm launchers x2 (if you figured that these were ETB models that I got cheap, you were right!)

Heavy Support
Land Raider - Storm bolter, HK missile, multi-melta

Flyer
Stormtalon gunship - 2x lascannons

Dedicated Transport
Impulsor - ironhail stormhail-flyer-shooty-thingy

I think that's it. Obviously I would prefer a Leviathan Dread to one of the ETB Redemptors, and maybe something else in place of the Stormtalon, but vehicles over infantry for the Scions of Rage!

Looks like eventually I'll replace the Stormtalon with a Leviathan Dread and drop the Multi-melta off the LR to help pay for it. I might have to drop all the extras off the LR and the Impulsor, actually.

What about using invictor warsuits. Seem good for these chapter tactics too.

Also recommend you add more bodies. 9th is about scoring and you have very little.

I would drop the cents/raider and add more bodies.

Have fun!

So I played a very similar list to this in a tournament over the weekend. I got crushed by Sisters of Battle and kept it moderately close vs Adeptus Custodes.

First of all, I modified the list to remove the Stormtalon and replaced it with a Thunderfire cannon and a pair of Company Veterans. I also added the Helix Gauntlet to the Infiltrators, and boy that thing paid for itself probably 5 times over.

In the deployment phase of both games I made some critical mistakes that contributed to the catastrophe that resulted, and I think I can do better next time. I also lost the roll-off for first move in both games, which meant that I lost ~500 points of models before I could do anything (because I made deployment mistakes, again).

That being said, I'm very pleased with how the army list functions as a whole - the Redemptor dreads punching things is nasty and the Assault Centurions are surprisingly dangerous. I didn't have too much trouble with running out of troops - moreso getting them into position, but with adding more high strength firepower and adding the shield array, I think the Impulsor can survive longer and get my troops into a third table quarter better.
The captains shooting was worthless outside of RF range, and the veterans had no real effect in the shooting phase, so I'm modifying the list like this:

HQ
Captain - IF relic Bolt Pistol (S5, Pistol 3, AP-3, D2), Relic Blade
Librarian - Boltgun, force sword. Artificer Armor. Chief Librarian. Veil of Time, MIght of Heroes, Psychic Fortress (or whatever the 5+ inv save bubble is)
Primaris Techmarine - master-crafted Forge bolter (so it's 3dmg instead of just 2!). Master of the Forge

No Slot
Company Veterans - Sgt, Veteran each with Power Maul, Storm Shield

Troops
Assault Intercessors x4, Sgt w/powerfist
Assault Intercessors x4, Sgt w/powerfist
Infiltrators x4, Infiltrator Sgt

Elites
Centurion Assault squad - siege drills, hurricane bolters, flamers
Redemptor Dread - Heavy Onslaught gat, onslaught gat, storm bolters x2, icarus pod
Redemptor Dread - Macro-Plasma Obliterator, flamer, fragstorm launchers x2
Redemptor Dread - Macro-Plasma Obliterator, flamer, fragstorm launchers x2

Heavy Support
Land Raider
Vindicator - HK missile, Siege Shield

Dedicated Transport
Impulsor - shield array

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to swap the TFC for - A lazorback was one option, but didn't really work for me - too squishy. A Vanguard Vet squad was appealing, especially kitted out with a couple of TH/SS , and other stuff, and with jump packs, but I don't think they'd make it into close combat, which is the only place they're going to shine. If the Vindicator doesn't work, I'll probably give the Vanguard Vets a shot. I end up with about 150 points to put into it and I want to get some high-strength attacks. Vehicles functioning as if they had twice as many wounds means that vehicles (with wound tracks) benefit more from the Chapter Tactics than infantry, so I lean that way. The infiltrator tactical suit benefits from both and I really should give it a look.

EDIT: One thing that helped a lot and really surprised my opponent was that my deathstar (the three dreads, the captain, techmarine, librarian and the two company veterans) included 5 CORE models - the dreads and the veterans. And I chose the Warlord trait that makes CORE units within 6" OBSEC, so my deathstar can actually deny control of objectives when used properly. The footprint of the dreads and the other models can squeeze the opponents models outside of the 3" range to an objective easily, and even in close combat can still cram a lot of OBSEC to within 3".

I'm going to have to take a really hard look at the Invictor warsuit - it definitely hits all the right notes for my army list and will draw fire away from the LR and the dreads on turn 1, and if it survives it will be able to put some hurt on something (probably). 160 points seems like a lot for a distraction carnifex, but is it really? How much fire will it soak away from my heavier vehicles? Does anyone have any input?
