Hi all new to WH 40k and purchased the command edition for my sons Xmas. Curious to know why the data sheets for the Space Marines is different from the Codex?

For example no reference to frag grenades.

Is this a deliberate 'trimmed' version?

I'm new to all this so has been a lot to take in so admittedly may have missed this somewhere.

Cheers

Not sure about this kit specifically, but commonly the datasheets contained with kits are trimmed (or simply out of date) versions of those from the Codex.

Thanks Stux

I thought that might be the case... to ease in new players. Wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything.

Yes starter sets often have simplified rules.
