Subject: I have 25$ in Steam Cash, what should I get?
Angles fall first-part first person shooter, starfighter/starship combat with ground and space combat including ship boarding actions by infantry.
You can play with bots in private or public matches and set their skill level along with choosing your own maps.
Pluss it is only $17.99 so you won't even be spending all your money

I've been completely addicted to Snow Runner for the past few weeks. It's $30 for the base game or $50 for the "premium" (includes first year of DLC), but regularly goes on sale for 35% off. Each "season" of DLC adds new locations, so you don't really need newer seasons until you've already played the game for quite a while and decided you like it enough to want those new locations.

What Genres do you like? That's a pretty big factor in all this. Also i'd wait till there's a sale.
If you don't mind indie games i'd say Carrion looks like fun and i know Barotrauma is fun but Barotrauma needs you to play with friends who also have the game. I'd recommend it because i think chat is unmoderated so you know how that tends to go.

Otherwise, any preferences as to what kind of game you might be looking for? Any genres in particular?
Are they gonna still have that due to China having a fit (like it always does) and cancelling steam in China i think.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units." Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?" Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?" GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!" Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Honestly, I'm just looking for a good story. A good SP game that I can come back to every month and not be completely lost. Nothing like the Witcher where I need to read a ton of minor lore to understand what's going on.
I am looking at two games right now.
Prodeus and Hades. Everyone I know can't shut up about Hades, but I hate Roguelikes. I hate how you never feel like you are progressing, you just have to keep dying over and over to drag yourself where you need to be. I'm also looking at Raji: An Ancient Epic, and Pyre. Pyre reminds me a lot of Transistor and Bastion. Both A++ games.

Here's a game i was enjoying. It's basically good guy Skaven fighting bad guy frog-men in a medieval world. It has a very nice bit of art and is voiced by Geralt's voice actor in The Witcher games.
If that doesn't pique your interest then maybe this trailer will. 25 USD on the nose.

I can't speak for Hades or Prodeus, but I have heard good things about Disco Elysium's story. Haven't tried it myself FYI, but it seems to be giving off Planescape vibes.

I would do Disco Elysium, but it just looks....depressing. Like the trailer talks about Suicide, depression, and other bleakness. Also, again with the 4 million lines of text box interaction. No thank you.

Yeah it's a pretty dark RPG. Love it so far, though I am 11 hours in and I am still not sure if the game has combat in any way.
Subnautica is on sale now. Another great choice.

Late, I know, but I would like to add that I am enjoying Battle Brothers.
It's a "turn based tactical RPG", you run a mercenary company and go around a map filling contracts that mostly involve fighting turn based battles on a hex map.
Medieval fantasy setting.
fething brutal,but so good.
