Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

Time to pick the last theme of the annual rotation! As always, 48 hours to vote! This month, your options are:

Age Before Beauty: This round is for the ancient, whether in the fiction of their respective settings or just how long the model has been around! Your entry should feature either an ancient individual/creature/object ect or a model that is sufficiently old in real life (no hard and fast rule here, though I imagine there might be a bit of shock for those Oldhammer vets out there at what everyone else thinks counts for this! )

Changes: Whether through technology or sorcery, evolution or time, many warriors take the field in forms far different than their origin. your entry should feature a model that reflects great change, such as a transformation or enhancement of its original form.

"We Are Legion": A final push to crank out some minis before the rotation ends! The max model limit goes up to 10, and your entry should feature models that typically deploy in large numbers (though there is no requirement to paint more than one)

Hostile Environment: Some battles take place amidst city streets, or on wide open fields, but just as many bring their participants to places where the battiefield itself is just another enemy. Be it muddy trenches, lightless caverns, volcanic slopes or Death World jungles, your entry should feature models equipped or trained for fighting in such treacherous and deadly locales.

I should be good for all of these. Nice spread.

I have a hostile environment IFV just waiting for this opportunity!

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I voted for We Are Legion...

This would make a good motivator to finish a legion of demons I need for playtesting.

Age for the win.

This because I have more old metal stashed away than I’d like to admit. And i obviously need an excuse (kick in the rear) to get some paint on it at LONG last.

I voted for "We Are Legion," but as always I can find something to fit any of these themes.

Now showing more Samurai Marines, Bad Squiddo Amazons, and an Oldhammer Chaos Thug!

Painting total as of 3/28/2024: 21 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

I’ve added to my yearly goals to paint at least 3 units from the dusty back of the primed pile. If Age wins, I’ll be painting something that was part of a supply drop on page 1 of my blog, and has been sitting in the primed ready to pain pile since September’15.

But legion would help me on my company goals.

It’s all good.

What I’m looking at, a couple of options, both 2nd ed striped and primed sometime around 2011-2013. If we go legion I dunno. I’ve loads of even older goblins that I always meant to get round to. It’d just be a table-top ready job though.

It seems Age Before Beauty and We Are Legion are neck and neck.

Are models from 2002 old enough for Age Before Beauty? Because if that's the case, my We Are Legion models fit that category too

Just find either a Legion of Hostile Environment guys or just a really OLD Hostile Environment guy (depending on how the poll pans out)

Original Necromunda or 2nd Edition Eldar are both eligible for Age before Beauty surely. Though I know you wanted hostile environment to win last month. Sorry it didn’t work out man.
