To put it politely we’re either doing something very wrong, or its less than accurate.

Hero of the Chapter (1CP)
Hero of the Chapter (1CP)
Relic of the Chapter (1CP)
Total Command Points: 6/18
Reinforcement Points: 45
Total Points: 1955/2000

It gave me free Heavy Bolters and Grenade Launchers. I have no idea what 6/18 CP’s mean, I think I should have 15, and used 5. I was able to make the Chapter Command, but not able to select their Chapter Command matching Warlord Trait, or most of my Chapter specific ones. I like the output layout though. So if you see anyone showing up with a Battleforge app list, you may want to double check it for them.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

Yeah, it's obviously absolute garbage, I'd rather go back to using excel, a sheet of A4 or a notebook, that's if it was free like Battlescribe which I currently use. It's a huge embarrassment if you ask me. GW needs to empower all the hardworking fans instead of trying to take things over because the only thing they're great at is plastic. Battlescribe is imperfect, it's made by humans, that's okay when it's free. Despite being good at math I somehow always ended up being under or over points when I used paper, at least paper is cheap.

£1 pound for 10 notebooks, that'll last you for 9th-19th edition.

I've tried a few times and I've never managed to actually complete a list. Biggest issue for me is that it seems to work with only points when Crusade uses PL. Adding units is an absolute chore and they are regularly missing options that are available in the Codex. Add to that whenever it's error state for 'illegal' formations are useless, it simply tells you there is an issue but not what the issue is or something very vague. There was a Warlord issue that came up as it turned out I'd missed one very deeply buried option and it took forever to work out what it was instead of it simply saying 'have you checked this'.

Yup, you can add to the list of program malfunctions when it comes the the Craft world Eldar units, War Walker and Wraith Knight. You can add a pair of Heavy Weapons mounts to both models but, it will not allow you to take a pair of the same weapon. Like 2 Aeldari Missile Launchers. Works fine if you take 2 different options though, like AEldari Missile Launcher and Scatter Laser.

Cowards will be shot! Survivors will be shot again!

I cheeky idea for GW - rename battleforge battlescribe, then send battlescribe a C&D.

We all know it is only a matter of time...

If you need PL, why not use CR? It's quite fast and easy to use, and can export to PDF for easy copy to whatever device you use on the go:

I prefer GWs app for list building over Battlescribe, in fact, I hate using BS as a list builder.

However, it infuriates me that GW will not fix the multiple of errors in their list building app regardless how often reported.

So, pen and paper still rules for me.

Must admit simply because I had no idea it existed. Having had a quick go with it the lack of structure is pretty off-putting, it's simply a list of units no real structure into an army. It also lacks any validation, for example I could make an Adepta Sororitas army with more Novitiate Squads then Battle Sister Squads.

Yup, found another glitch with the battleforge program concerning AM rosters. It says your SWS are over by two guardsmen, when the squad itself only ever has 6 guardsmen, no more, no less.

So I unlocked my codex in the app but it still doesn't let me build a list with it as the list builder is locked behind a paywall?

Is this right? What the feth is the point then?

Why would you even download an app that you don't what it does? The information is right there, available for you to read. You don't need to download it and figure it out through trial and error...

The free bit is the digital rules in your pocket. So you can reference the codex rules on your phone instead of using the codex, you may find it quicker and easier. The army builder is added value and so paid for. I’m not qualified to comment on the accuracy of the army builder, that’s just the logic.

Usually because GW has this weird minefield of options and functionality depending on whether you're paying for the app or not and not everyone reads every last bit of info before downloading a free app that seems to do what they want. If this is happening regularly then GW need to clarify the language used. It's also kind of unique to have a free list builder app that doesn't let you build lists - every other company that provides one lets you use it to build lists. It's not an outlandish assumption for someone to make.

The Battleforge rules are all over the place.
They updated the 2+ save for the LRBT units from the blaance update, but they did not change the Voice of Command or Tank Orders rules for affecting multiple units.

But, does it say:
""Each time a <Regiment> unit with the Voice of Command ability issues one of the following orders to a <Regiment> Infantry unit, that same order can be issued to one or more other friendly <Regiment> Infantry units (excluding Officer units) that are within 6" of the unit that order was originally issued"?
Or

Yep, twice. I can't see it.

Ah, yeah, but not in the datasheets for the units. I don't go into the detachment abilities section often, so didn't think to look there.
It is too much trouble for them to re-write the units themselves. Oh well.

Interesting. My guess is that your app isn't updated. If it *is* the most up-to-date version available to you, then your app store hasn't received the update for whatever reason (Apple has, 1 week ago).
The same update that updated the Leman Russ armor added the new Detachment Abilities that modify Voice of Command and Tank Orders. So it's extremely odd that you somehow have half of an update.

edit: I see that we have resolved the issue. Well, the Balance Dataslate doesn't modify the units datasheets, so I wouldn't expect the datasheets to be modified. They add detachment abilities, which is why I looked in detachment abilities for it.
