This looks like a great buy as low model count and I can just use Saga terrain.

Well, I'll be buying this. Looks like they went for a more heroic scale in the sculpting unless those minis are on 20mm rounds.

They look great. The Drune in particular have decently sculpted musculature, which is rare for Warlord minis.

One of my favourites of the early stories.

Nice to see a Crom-Cruach standee there (presumbaly one can kick opponent's warriors into its tentacles?), but some of the poses on the miniatures look very weird.

I still regret not grabbing the Wargames Foundry one when I had a chance. That figure seems to have vanished from existence at this point.

Wargames Foundry would have lost the rights to sell the miniatures once Mongoose and the Warlord took it on.

Hey folks did anyone get hold of this in the end and care to comment?

I missed out earlier in the year as the FLGS I was ordering from went out of business, but am hoping Santa will be bringing it in a few weeks..

I've picked up a few figures here and there. I think I posted some on Youtube.

Can't comment on actually playing, but the figures themselves are pretty decent, and quite representative of that early 80s Slaine look, if that's something you're after.

The figures themselves all seem to be that "thermal plastic" Siocast type resin, which has a lot of flex to it. Doesn't seem as brittle as some of the other versions of the casting material I've come across. Models hold a good amount of detail, and given a better paint job than anything I can accomplish should make them look quite nice.

My initial thoughts eyeballing the cards makes me wonder if the game uses a similar engine to Warlord's SPQR, or a variation on the Strontium Dog skirmish rules. I ever find one of the starter sets for near- impulse level purchasing, I'll take the plunge and give it a spin.
