It depends what you want.
I am not looking forward to Galadriel scaling mountains in armour and hitting things with a sword as if she was Feanor or Turin. As if the only way to show strength and leadership was through war. It makes me think they wanted to combine Brienne of Tarth with the Witcher.
I enjoyed the immersion of having the hobbits looking homogeneous, as well as the Gondorians and the peoples of Rohan in the LotR's Peter Jackson movies.
I did not like the pretty Dwarfs in the Hobbit, and I do not like the pretty Dwarf princess.
I do not like a Dark skin Silvan Elf, because he is supposed to be a Silvan Elf.
There are dark shinned people in Tolkien's world, why couldn't they have written people from Harad or Khand into the story, instead of pretending that minorities have no history and are just different coloured members of other peoples culture.
